Question about Auto Tech at HVCC

Thanks for all the replies, and ill keep those teacher’s name in mind when i go may 9th to sign up for classes.

Do they have a tuning class? I heard something about it from one of the kids that lives near me but when i looked online i didnt see anything for tuning. would that be in the diagnostics class?

I can imagine book work being boring but since i auto tech is something i like i think ill be able to focus on the work until when i was going for Criminal Justice. Plus ive been getting some hands on experience with stuff so hopefully that will help when i go to hvcc.

My ex is currently going to UTI and she said it was a good place to go since she said shes learning a lot but she said its like $30,000 or something like that to go there. My reply was no thanks!

the tuning is an extracurricular course that kmart teaches.

So its like a side class that the school doesn’t require in their standard curriculum for the major, but something you can take if your interested in it?

nope. martin asked if anyone was interested, people signed up for it, payed, and took the course

Could someone tell me what the 01, 01A, 01B, 02, 02A, and 02B mean in the “sec” box. My only guess of what it means is I need to sign up for each each section, like if I sign up for section 01, I need to sign up for section 01A, and 01B as well.

usually the A and B are Labs for whichever number they correspond with, which is why theres no credit value… (thats how it was when i was there)

I went to auto tech at hvcc. 99-01, didn’t graduate because I never went to english composition classes. Had a solid 2.0 average GPA.

just an FYI… the Kenneth Tremont instructor they are listing, is indead the same person all the dirt track racers think it is.

I didnt know you never graduated. English class was a joke, usually lasted less than 10 minutes and we ended up looking at the teacher’s Harley or he’d just let us go.

I don’t plan on pissing the teachers off, I wanna get the most out of all the classes.

Also since A and B are labs do i just have to sign up for one lab or both of the labs?

you sign up for the class without the letter, which is lecture. then you pick one of the labs… either A or B… not both. Id recommend Tremont for lab since he’s a good guy and knows his shit (mainly about Chevy motors… but still) … and I don’t know the other guy
