intercooler piping did not fail. A pin hole so small it took months to find showed up, once found I had no hesitation in offering to fix it. This is one smaller than a pin hole in hole leak over meters of welded aluminium and cast aluminium…
The ‘idea’ and the product you simpleton is called a ‘torque stay’ it was designed to hold a specific amount of torque that’s it. It ‘failed’ because the - owner of the car was not using a Front tower brace… the CARS frame, in moderate speed cornering was loading up the torque stay… Now I don’t know about you and your concept of design but putting a side load of that proportion on the aluminium head of the SR strikes me as being not too smart. So the part did what it was suppose to and break under loads over and above what it was designed for… after all it’s a torque stay NOT a tower brace…
