does the factory fuel pump keep running when the car is running or what?
cuz i tried starting my car and it ran for about 3 seconds then died.so i was thinkin either fuel leak or the pump is done
does this make sense to anyone,if not, please explain
much appreciated,
Garret
not sure about yours but i can definitly hear my pump runnign when the ignition is on, just listen by your left rear wheel that should give you a hint
i tried n i cant hear shiz
how much gas is in your tank? if your gas is low and you had your car in a warm place, then cold, you might have some ice from condensation in your fuel lines
you just might need a new pump
^ x2 if you can’t hear it its probably gone or missing some wiring, the stock pump is pretty loud (at least on a GTR)
hmmm only if wired liek the 240sx the GTR pump is a two stage…it should only be really loud on any single stage systems…and the R33 GTR is the better of the 3
k heres the problem…tried turning it over, there was a puff of smoke from the turbo timer,i am pretty sure it was from the turbo timer anyways, then it started for like 2 seconds.died.then nothing,me and my dad put gas in the intake and kept it running like that (feeding it gas through the intake)for about 30 seconds then i noticed there was no dash lights or tachometer reading.tried looking for fuses and there is no fuses that have power in the interior fuse panel(under the steering wheel to the right)so we looked at the main fuse and it was blown…my question is would this make the fuel pump not have power…thanx for all your replies everyone
ahh, doood, is your"turbo timer" inside or outside the car…there not susposed to “SMOKE” lol
and your cars feul injected, tell POPs to stop pouring gas in the “carb” and it migh run a little better
lol thanx for the helpful info, and he knows its efi,he has been a mechanic his whole life he just doesnt know lots about nissan skylines…for some reason, hmmm i wonder
and wtf of course its inside the car, please help dont laugh only if you are going to help,i can only learn by asking questions, and receiving right answers
try feul filter, clean your injectors, and reset your ECU…
and maybe check your vaccum lines…
k whats resetting my ecu gonna do
and my question is does the main fuse control the fuel pump?
there should be a fuse in the engine bay for the feul pump…
nope there sure isnt and the ones in the interior are japanese
if there was a puff of smoke from the turbo timer, your problem is ignition wiring and has nothing to do with your fuel pump.
but why did i get it started and keep it running with fuel in the intake, after i had smoke come out of the turbo timer it really isnt making sense why?
umm … from the TT … wiring
Why dont you just un hook the TT and then try and start it.
a problem with the Turbo Timer and ignition harness will make it impossible to start
