R6 exhaust options -

BikeBruhs -If I swap my muffler for a GP pipe…Will it be loudAF and really annoying?

thinking something like this Graves pipe -

would essentially look like this then -

or this toce? not sure i like this look tho -http://cdn1.bigcommerce.com/n-63unu/nh36ta/products/113/images/324/TPY606-DD-2__37931.1389905700.1280.1280.jpg?c=2
kinda like this hidden joint - but its custom -

I like the sound of the bike currently - wouldn’t be mad if it was a little louder, but just am not into the stock look.

all of those will be loud AF.

I love the look of the toce personally. the GYTR is really nice too.

GP-style slip-on will be loud AF for sure. I ran an FMF version on mine that was surprisingly quiet at idle but screamed some up top probably because it retained the factory cat:

Here it is if you can hear it over the Evo that is:

Ugh, I remember when @Tim had his shorty exhaust and the baffle came out and almost hit @goff and I, his bike was freaking loud as shit.

LOL. I had a headache after riding that thing for 15 minutes. I think the side exit makes it louder for the rider too since it’s closer to you. All of those look pretty loud

Yeah, it’s gonna be loud as fuck.

If you are looking for the most power and plan on getting a tune go with Arata Full Titanium System.

Hey guys,
I’m going to cut off my muffler…Will it be loud?
kthxbye

If I ever own another motorcycle I will never modify the exhaust ever again haha

It’ll be loud… also, i’ve known a few people that had R1’s that did the slash cut exhaust and blew their motors.

I have the M4 on my 09 and it’s not too bad with the DB killer in, but it’s real loud if you take it out and sounds bad ass. It’s also the cheapest slip on, around $400.

Man, my FMF “slip-on” was not loud AT ALL, but then again, probably because it retained the factory cat. I also used this thing mostly at the track only with other loud motorcycles so who knows how loud it really was.

If you’ve ever seen the size of the cat on these things, you’d know it’s a valid question. Cat is larger than factory muffler, even.

Deleting the cat and changing slip ons wont register any gains on the butt dyno. The sound and weight savings are noticeable though…

No point in adding more power / weight reduction when the limits of the factory settings don’t come close to being pushed with most riders, period.

But for sound purposes, sure! Have at it.

It was probably 20lb weight reduction taking the one piece cat/muffler off my bike, it’s the size of a truck muffler.
It’s gonna be really loud for the first week, but you will get used to it. The first time I started my bike i was not happy, but now it seems really quiet till I pull the DB killer. I know m4 sells a longer baffle that reduces it 3 decibels and I’m sure other companies do this, but you have to call them because they don’t list them.
