GP-style slip-on will be loud AF for sure. I ran an FMF version on mine that was surprisingly quiet at idle but screamed some up top probably because it retained the factory cat:
Here it is if you can hear it over the Evo that is:
LOL. I had a headache after riding that thing for 15 minutes. I think the side exit makes it louder for the rider too since it’s closer to you. All of those look pretty loud
I have the M4 on my 09 and it’s not too bad with the DB killer in, but it’s real loud if you take it out and sounds bad ass. It’s also the cheapest slip on, around $400.
Man, my FMF “slip-on” was not loud AT ALL, but then again, probably because it retained the factory cat. I also used this thing mostly at the track only with other loud motorcycles so who knows how loud it really was.
It was probably 20lb weight reduction taking the one piece cat/muffler off my bike, it’s the size of a truck muffler.
It’s gonna be really loud for the first week, but you will get used to it. The first time I started my bike i was not happy, but now it seems really quiet till I pull the DB killer. I know m4 sells a longer baffle that reduces it 3 decibels and I’m sure other companies do this, but you have to call them because they don’t list them.
