I don’t really care about the site going up, even though I think it’s a bad idea, but that doesn’t matter.
What’s stupid is most people could never put together a well thought out review on police. Look at how most people react. How could this possibly do any good?
People talk about corruption because they got a ticket that was legit but it wasn’t a major deal. People whine because the cop was ‘not nice’ and didn’t give them a blow job during the situation. It’s ridiculous. I have had my share of run-ins with shitty cops. Would I cry and moan about it on a website? And then have a bunch of other shitty people agree with me and rant about 'da pigs? No way. People are way more pathetic than most cops and probably should have been treated worse by the fuzz IMO.
It would just be filled with a bunch of immature pricks and dudes who fear/hate authority circle jerking each other. So i could care less to be honest. I just think it’s retarded.
Every car has an onboard camera correct? Have every officer wear some type of recording device that must be kept on file for a period of time.
Anyone has the right to file a formal complaint against an officer, if there was documentation (video and audio) it would help both the public and the law.

I personally think they site is a great idea. I personally think 30% of cops are complete douche bags. As slowtalon states…there is quite a lot of ass cops out there.
And those cops also think they are so special because they have a badge… but guess what? I can get 60 credit hours in college…go take the same damn test and become a cop just like that, so NO officer…you are not that special.
I think it’s a good idea, but I don’t think it helps as much as say, ratemyprofessors.com. It’s not like you can request a new cop to deal with when you get pulled over by a notorious prick, and I doubt it would be valid in filing a complaint against the officer. Will probably just be more of a complaining forum than anything.
why this is all public information being shared anyways they are employed by the state and therefor we have a right to know who we are hiring to protect us. Do they think somebodys gonna look on the site to find cops to shoot at or something i dont know what they are trying to say, how does this site put them in jeopardy? they have to be worried about the guy they pull over and act like a dick to that has a gun tucked between his seats not someone online talking shit.
It will late until there is a court order to take it down. Just becuase GoDaddy decides to stop resolving it on its nameservers just means they will move it to hosts that will. Similar to WikiLeaks. As soon as it came under fire and attention, its host dropped it from its DNS servers but the site legally still could exist and there was no court order saying otherwise.
Prolly migrating servers. GoDaddy prolly refused to resolve them so they are transfering it to a larger server since 1) GoDaddy wont host the domain anymore and 2) the site is all over the media and prolly get 1000x more hits.
I wouldn’t be surprised if 80% of the traffic (once everything in the news dies down) was from police officers checking every few days to see if they show up on the site
