Honestly bro, your the best!! I’ll let you know when it comes time for it!
I think in the end it was a stage 1 clutch afterall, cuz I checked the pics and all, but it’s cool either way!
if it magically happens to be a stage 2 then better, but we both know that was wack talk from the JRP guy haha
well thats like I said right. I even went there. Unless on my way there they started swapping clutched in boxes to cover their ass’, I dont know bro. Either way like I said, it was a very solid clutch.
If it comes down to it and it slips with your set up, then we have something to stand on for real.
I take it you used a read up online? For some reason all the diagrams people have posted all keep the ECU on like that ALL the time. Beware as it MAY drain your battery. PM Ted (Heatw) as he knows how to solve that issue.
well mine is running. how many peices of piping are you supposed to have for the intercooler and how the hell does it mount in? up and down or side to side?? anyone have helpfull pics or when you see this call or text my cell as i wanna drive it tonight. 510-660-9936. thanks guys. i hope someone calls…
mine will work! i just need a pic of how to do it. i dont wanna cut my whole front end apart to figure out how to run this. can you at least tell me how many intercooler pipes i need to have. i have 3 plus the intercooler, here is pics. riyad claims i have everything i need.
like is that all the peices? which was the intercooler mount? up and down? side to side? front tot back? back to front? i have no idea! some one please post a pic or something more helpfull then “you need to mount it so it gets as much air as possible and just make the pipes work”, no offense but thats kinda the whole point of an intercooler, it doesnt help me install it. i’m just frustrated cause i cant figure this out. thanks.
dude, like. Stop being lazy. You need to fabricate! Your intercooler and hot pipe looks a bit different than mine. So I don’t really know what to say.
Yet, since you do not take my #1 plan of attack advice. Buy a front mount from rbperformance.net or see it on ebay.
I made mine fit. Not very well. Like it’s clean and all, just not a lot of air. Yet for now, it works fine. FMIC is coming, soon…I hope. Clutch is more important right now.
its a little late for clutch. i’m hoping mine will be fine…
as for RBperformance. i was thinkin about it but if you look on his user page on zilvia people send him money and still dont have their stuff months later and he wont answer pm’s or phone calls so i’m a bit wary of him and his “good deals”. the reason i am stressin so much about this is cause i dont wanna cut stuff and weld stuff if i dont have to. if there is a surefire clean way to do it then i jsut wanna make sure i know it.
Your going to HAVE to cut the hole for the SMIC bigger no matter what. Your side mount does look much different than mine but regardless you should still be able to get it to work. Don’t be afraid to cut and learn a little self fabrication.
Measure twice cut once.
Put all the pipes in like a puzzle leading to one spot obviously. Experiment with the twists until both pipes lead right to the side-mount area. At that point you’ll be able to see exactly HOW your side-mount mounts and WHERE exactly to cut bigger holes. I would suggest using a hole saw seeing as how it’ll be the cleanest solution and least effortless.
