Is your RB hard to start in the mornings? Or after she sits for a while?

Also, LOL! Does your rear wiper turn on once when you turn the ignition on?

sounds to me like you forgot to run the ?orange? ignition wire from the dash area to pin number 43 i think? i have it in my binder at work, but that’s the wire to tell the ECU to flatten out the fuel maps for cold starts. and no, i haven’t hooked mine up either, been to lazy/busy.

I’m gonna mention this to my buddy that did most of the wiring then.

I’m still learning the wiring…and it’s frustrating as fuck.

I do know though. That there is no empty spots on the brown (24-pin?) plug beside the ecu…

yes/… more info on the orange wire… mines not hooked up ad is a bitch to start when its cold… also the red light thing… heatw how you you get it to turn off… killed my optima over the winter. shoulda put a trickel charger on it i know… but oh well

I’m just warning lol. I was fucking around in the back of my shop for maybe…3 minutes steady. Parked her, let her run for 15 mins. shut her off. Walked away. Looked outside seen a few spots, walked up and heard her bubbling.

10" is NOT enough. If your driving yea, it’s fine.

i let my car run for at least 10-15 minutes every morning

So do I. I idle for an hour or so once in a while.

After beating on your car in a lot. Or drifting. Just beating her up without a constant speed to help push air through the rad. It will probably over heat.

yeah, it’s the orange dash wire, it goes to pin #43 for the ECU, guess i should fix that while i’m fixing my cluster problem. it’s on one of the plugs by the ECU. not sure what the colour of the wire from the rb20 ECU is though. hope this helps.

ok as for the problem with the battery dieing, its not the stupid LED that is draining your battery. an LED wont drain a battery in less than a month. what i found is that my ecu has been gettin constant power so i hooked the wire for ECU power to a switched power source. problem solved no more drained battery for me. i was gettin a .5 amp drop while the car was sitting turned off. see if you get the same results. and as for the 10" fan, i am running a 1200 CFM fan and i let it idle for an hour just to kind of break it in once i was done the swap and it was still at perfect temp. and i’m running a sidemount. a sidemount wont make your engine run hotter it will just make your intake charge less cool then say a frontmount. i am having a major problem with a high idle. i’ve got the idle screw turned way down but its still sitting at 1200 rpm. anyone having the same problem?>

did you hook 12 volts to the IAC or AAC valve like I said before? I had the same problem. It would stall also after a good 2nd gear pull.

What I really want to know is how many people are running RB’s in S13’s now. Seems as soon as I did my swap, either I noticed a lot more RB S13’s or people are just doing it left right and center.

After all it said and done…SR would have been easier. Not swap wise, just so much easier. RB’s…awesome motor, but fuck me if it ain’t one thing it’s another. BAH! RB parts are not too cheap either.

and the parts are bloody hard to find!! i did my swap over the winter. i just didn’t want what everyone else had in their car (sr20 anyone?) but yeah, it seems like we’re at the front of a growing trend. oh well, if i get another s13, maybe i’ll take on something old-school. carbed’ 350 perhaps? and no, i don’t wanna try to fit a 454 under my damn hood, lol. also, too hot of a charge could grenade it…
