Here is a vid of my HPI Nitro MT, my dog attacks it in the beginning so i end up putting him in the house lol
Wahoo do you have a extra spur gear for the hpi? I need one for my RS4 and I think they’re the same…
I don’t sorry, I’ve been lucky with this thing and haven’t broke one yet.
Alright just checking, thanks.
Anyone down to do some track bashing tonight?? Pm me, byob…
Oh how I miss the days of RC racing.
We opened a track in the summit park mall years ago (TK Hobby) It was a carpet track for 1/10th and 1/12th electric on road.
Used to travel quite a bit to race as well, raced in St. Catherine’s, Southern Ontario, Cleveland, Maryland. Had a few sponsors ( HobbyTown USA, EA motorsports, Integy)
Sold everything and havent raced in years
Been flying the msr-x around my basement tonight. Responsive little thing. Can’t wait to get it outside.
This gave me a good laugh this morning watching your dog attack the truck. Thank you
And you are waiting to get a new one…why? lol
I feel the exact same way. Its got power and it loves to dip and dive everywhere. Definitely a fun little toy, but needs more open rooms even though its small. Not sure how many you have, but get a bunch of batteries…they dont last long.
I was doing circuits around my living room then into my dining room last night. The low hanging light over my dining room table makes it a little tricky. Been trying to keep the nose pointed at the light and just slide the tail around it to complete the turn.
Heading over to Fields on lunch today to see what they have. Already need a new set of landing gear from a pretty solid crash in the garage. Still flying it via hand launch/retrieve but not being able to land takes a lot of the fun of a heli away.
I’m better at flying it with some forward speed than trying to nose in hover it. I think it’s because I flew RC planes for years so at speed I’m used to reversing my inputs when it’s flying toward me. When I’m just trying to hold it still my brain keeps sending it the wrong way.
HAHA I know what you mean about the speed, I was like that with my 120sr. I could fly it around fast as shit and wide…when it came to being in a smaller area and hovering it and turning it and keeping it balanced, it just was a hit or miss type of thing with me.
I need landing gear on it as well due to the battery holder bracket snapping on me from velcro on my batteries (its for the plane I have)
As for batteries, you can get like 5 batteries for $15 on ebay. Its one of the only things thats really worth buy from ebay with these. I’d look into the charger skurge has, it’s a 4 battery charging dock that charges pretty fast. Its only like $30
I’ve been bombing around on the Rustler and broke a few parts this weekend. Broke the front knuckle support (ordered aluminum but bought plastic for the time) Also snapped the top tie rod/arm which got replaced with RPM parts. After that, the next battery I used I was jumping it off a 3ft snowbank and snapped the rear arm. Replaced those with RPM parts as well. Aluminum the next time they break.
Turning my Slash into a Rally and going to use it as a drift car/rally car/road car. I’ll keep the off road setup for when we get tracks built.
Also got the approval of making a track on my families property. This should be sweet seeing as I have some room to make something decent. So if anyone wants to make an outdoor track, I may be looking for some help. I’d say we can have a meet at a Tims to preplan the situation ahead. lol
Doing some modifications to the 1/16 slash and changing it to a Rally. Shocks are installed. Definitely a lot less travel and sits much lower. I have road rims/tires and also another set of rims with drift tires (plastic) Next are body mounts and a body, then I’m done with that.
ok here’s my road going collection, not including my mini-z as its broken(possibly for good)
left to right starting in the back:
RC10T4.1
2WD brushed stampede
RC10B4.1
RC18R
Losi Micro SCT
Losi Mini-T
Micro RS4
as of now i’m trying to modify the RC18R for more of an off-road type car, i think i’ve found the parts i need so hopefully thats up and running how i want it soon, also i need to order a speed controller for the micro RS4, mine decided to start smelling bad and burn out lol anyone have an old one laying around they want to sell cheap? its just a drift car so it doesn’t need anything fancy
Started my losi 1/24 truggy build and waiting for my exotek carbon fiber chassis. I haven’t decided on what micro brushless system I’m gonna use yet…

After
Looks good. you ready to make an outdoor track when this weather breaks? be out near the clarence akron area.
Picked up a set of landing gear from Fields yesterday, back to landing on the coffee table.
Do you know about trainer mood on the remote they give you? (if you have that one) Hold down the right stick and it puts it more on a beginner mode, makes it easier for indoor use. still fast, but also slower.
^ Yeah, I’ve been using that. I’m one of those people who actually RTFM. Indoors on full rates is just insane.
yea once that thing really gets moving its hard to tell what direction its facing, i’ve hit friends in the head with mine before haha my family room is just big enough to get a nice fast circle(nose inwards) going and keep it that way till you eventually do something wrong lol
Mark. hahahahaha I remember that one.
I’ll help out for sure. To bad i sold 95% of my landscaping tools, would of made things easier.
