I really like Legacy GTs but it doesn’t seem like a subaru is what you’re looking for. And an STi would be kind of silly, it’s sort of a “teenage” car. I’m really starting to love a lot of the new volvos, and if this is a baby carryer you can’t get a much safer ride.
Meh. Volvos aren’t sporty.
I hate the fact that STis and EVOs get classified as “teenager” cars. They are fucking awesome(not to mention, fairly expensive for a pretty nice one).
yea, i dont want a evo/sti. I want something that wont have idiot teens trying to race me at every stoplight.
I really liked my speed6, you could probably get one of those for about $15k-$20k
Larger than a sti/evo, more sleeper, still awd and 270ish hp, good amenities especially on the grand touring models…
+1 for Speed6
Good power, good handling.
Reliability seems to be good on them, and on top of that modding sucks supposedly lol
having driven a speed6 I would say no, if you like that kind of thing the Subaru legacy GT is a much better car.
thinking about it, that special edition legacy GT (the spec B?) might be a great option for the needs here…
meh, not realy feeling the legacy or mazda. Im realy gunna focus my efforts on finding a 545i or a s4 b6/7 unless i find a smoking deal on something else which is always possible.
smart man… stay german because you enjoy working on cars!
really dead set on a euro-luxo aye? Whatever floats your boat.
lol, i realy didnt wanna come out and say it but i am somewhat partial to em plus I havent owned a v8 since i was in high school with my camaro iroc-z. Man those were the days.
CTS-V’s will have nowhere near the issues of a high-mileage older M car. I strongly suggest you check them out before writing them off for being a GM.
i realy cant get that video out of my head of where the guy had constant problems and was breaking down over and over again on the highway and couldnt get home. I think it was on streetfire.net or somethin.
and so goes the plight of GM. you can be newer, faster, cheaper, and people pick the other guy.
You are right, no one has ever had reliability issues with a Euro. They have also never sold a lemon.
You at least owe it to yourself to test drive some other options.
LS1 cars aren’t exactly known for reliability issues.
audi’s are know for their reliability an lack of electrical issues.
Coilpacks never go either LOL
wait, wat?
LoL
Seriously LSx engines are probably one of the best designs ever.
T56 is a pretty awesome transmission.
The weakest link I would say would be the rear end? But I have no personal experience.
All cars have faults.
BMWs have great cooling systems.
Audi’s have long lasting timing belts which are easy to change.
Dodge has great transmissions.
etc etc Look at a bunch of cars and drive them all. Don’t be afraid to venture into a new genre.
My //M is my first import ever. Love it, but it hasn’t stopped me from looking at domestics too.
