#2ā¦the couple of times I have gone out recently, people have been driving like asshats.
I know Iāve personally gotten worn out by the car scene the past couple of years. Iāve got my Cobalt for a daily driver which is a pretty respectable and a fun car but it wasnāt ever even supposed to get modded, and most certainly not to the point it is at nowā¦ the car runs low 13ās and traps in the 110-112mph range and gets 32mpg so I honestly canāt complain. I drive the car about 200 miles a week and have gotten bored with it and to be honest the sport compact scene in general.
In this area my biggest issue is that thereās soooo much hate going on and drama by young kids in the tuner scene that it has really worn me out and made me want to step away from sport compacts altogether. I swear I canāt go through a week now without hearing about someone āsmokingā my Cobalt or Cavalier or that iām such an āassholeā yet Iāve never met any of these people nor raced them. It just gets old fast.
My priorities in life havenāt really changed because I know I have to be in the car world but I have grown upā¦ itās time to move on to something bigger and better with less headaches that I can simply enjoyn(the goal is a C5 Z06 by spring). I will still have the Cavy which next season i really plan to only track and cruise once in a great while but iām getting older and just canāt handle all the high school like drama that seems to be associated in the sport compact/tuner world anymore.
