most people know nothing about cars, they see their car get pulled in, a bunch of activity around it, and assume that means everything was fixed …
like anything else, if people actually spent more than 2 seconds getting to know the multi-thousand dollar investments that they trust as their personal transportation, maybe it wouldn’t be so easy to scam them. just assume some responsibility for knowledge of your vehicle’s maintenance, it’s not a ridiculously hard concept.
Meh, don’t assume that most people have a shred of intelligence. Especially technically.
