Restaurants that don't suck thread

ZETS!! Awesome after hard days work!!

this is true.

they have a Zets Express i drove past the other day too.

I was supposed to work last night then had to switch because of an exam.

Glad ya found their site, and yes it is! For me and the lady it was 120$ Plus a 30$ tip, waiter was excellent. Two apps (scallops and escargot), 2 entrees (she had halibut), 2 drink (cocktail for me wine for her), and that dessert

Which place is this?

Trattoria Aroma on Bryant

Alana and I both love the menu and the always have interesting specials like what I had last night. We try to always hit new places but we are here monthly id say.

Ah ok. I’ve been there, it was great. Did not know a NYspeeder worked there.

Just went back to Tempo last night for only the second time my wife and I have eaten there. Everything was phenomenal, from salad, to main course, to dessert, and the wine. I need to branch out to hit some more of the ones suggested in this thread, but for now Tempo tops my list.

I wanted Tempo Friday it was my first choice over Daniel’s but they were booked on Open Table

He tends to the masses, good company.

Okay everyone needs to start posting pictures of their food, we need an NYSpeed Food blog

Looks yummy

Oh, you…

The last time I had bubble tea in a glass like that was in Markham…

best bubble tea i’ve had was at a chinese restaurant in Calgary, Forbidden city i think it was called… but then again every city has a chinese food restaurant by that name.

Decided to try Shogun last night for their 25$ all you can eat sushi. Now for 25$ you can usually get 4/5 rolls from seabar which are great. So i didn’t expect a huge selection or any specialities, but man was it fucking terrible. It was like the all you can eat from Zhang’s 10$ buffet, I’d say stay away

I’ve never really eaten at any higher end restaurants in Buffalo. While I was in Chicago I went to Shaw’s Crabhouse (Link) for a nice dinner with the wife. It was kinda disappointing.

Checked out a couple Zagat rated spots in Toronto yesterday.

swatow in Chinatown on Spadina is a peasant-food chinese noodle house. had an awesome shrimp dumpling soup and checked out the Gen tsao chicken that i just reheated for breakfast today.

For dinner did Scaramouche just north of Yorkville. It was in the list of Canada’s 50 best and is often rated as the best restaurant in Canada. Definitely an uptown crowd. I was with my brother who is the head server at one of the best restaurants in the west end in Little Italy and he saw about a dozen of his regulars there but ‘dressed up’. head of RBC capital and some big construction mogul family etc. there were some dolls wandering in and out as well.

food was top notch, prices were redic but it was a style of ‘great restaurant’ i’m not really used to. very unassuming with passive service. my brother was blown away and he has more discerning tastes than i do, i just thought it was great but not remarkable.

Tried Kung Food last night. Japanese/Taiwanese street food. Meh. It was ok.
