I don’t feel like looking through all the posts, but I’m sure it has been mentioned - Cole’s - a classic that never gets old…I mention it bec. I think I am going there tonight witrh my buddy for his birthday…
Crazy Jakes.
Had the Cubano sandwich and their banana pepper soup, never disappointed. The girlfriend had the grilled chicken sandwich with jalapeno coleslaw and veggies…that was fantastic as well.
Not to mention that it’s a pretty sweet bar with a lot of great beers on tap.
Traditional Manhattan is 2oz Rye, 1oz Sweet Vermouth and 2 dashes of aromatic bitters with a lemon twist. My favorite.
ill take 10plz
I’ll hold your hair back.
Man after my heart. <3
Although I like manhattans, I’d rather have a muddled beam old fashioned. Haven’t had one of those in a while…
I’m headed to Syracuse with the Fiance on Sunday, anyone know of a decent place to go before a show? I am thinking about here http://empirebrew.com, but we also have the misfortune of going during V-day weekend so I wanted some opinions/options…
Can’t beat the original Dinosaur BBQ. Otherwise there’s Spaghetti Warehouse, Pastabilities, Kitty Hoyne’s Irish Pub…I’ll try to think of more.
Cheesecake Factory :oj:
… lol, not like you’d get in this weekend anyways without a multi-hour wait. (They open today.)
Thanks! I will have to start calling around I guess
Had Mulberry’s delivered for lunch yesterday. Oh my god I wish I lived closer… had a meatball, garlic bread, one stuffed shell, and small sampling of chicken parm. Have only heard great things about this place.
Also, went to Sake Cafe (http://www.buffalosakecafe.com) for lunch today- had the “lunch box special” (soup, salad, 2 dumplings, rice, 6 california rolls, and your choice of hibachi style meat). For $8.50 it was pretty solid, my first time there and will be going back for sure.
i wish i could trade you guys real burritos for real pizza
:pat:
Send me some table side guac and fish tacos. I’ll send you Imperial Pizza.
Speaking of which, the fish tacos at Black Rock Kitchen and Bar are incredible…as is everything on the menu there…very likely my favorite rest. in town…
Ehh. I’ve been two or three times.
I got got pork belly tacos which on paper sounded amazing. I ended up with a tortilla with cubed pork belly (4 pieces) and pickled cabbage slaw. They were annoying to eat bc the belly meat could have been shredded to give good coverage, and I can’t say it tasted amazing. If they got either great taste or less annoying, I would’ve been way more okay with it.
Went for brunch, ordered the steak and eggs and got the most inedible piece of beef I think I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant. It was stringy as all hell, however, cooked properly and tasted just fine.
Service is great though, no complaints on that front.
I have the opposite experience. I’ve been there a ton of times and refuse to sit anywhere but the bar as the service is just fucking awful at the tables. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu (and some things not on the menu) and its always been top notch.
At BRKB?
Empire is a good choice.
