So I have had 2 lapping days now with the new engine and it runs just great.
was able to hit 251kph on the back straight of mosport during breaking in the engine day…
the engine shifted the weight by 1.5%, and the car weighs in at 2870…full fuel/fluids with 6 point cage…full fire supression system…2 seats…
driveability… 245’s are too small and spin even in 3rd gear…however the torque on this engine is just awesome… its very plyable…and the engine just never seems to be working…
engine is bone stock…and lays down 310-330rwhp range…
last lapping was at TMP…and it seemed to like the track…car pushes a little bit more now…however its easy to throttle steer it…
LS1 was 100% the right choice…engine runs cool…its not stressed…has gobs of torque and power…and has tons of upgradability…
i got no problem with dunnville, but i dont have any perspective on how technical other courses are. I wouldnt be surprised is Dunnville is not very exciting for peoples with competitive experience.
I was indifferent based on last years experiences, that fact that it was a airport and is super flat everywhere, takes a lot of fun out of calculating a line in the split seconds when approaching a turn.
nonetheless; wholey enjoyable
but as for the 570sx, a full photo shoot would interest me, don’t really care about the condition (superficial) of the car, moreso all the custom work
theres only one bump that actually worthy of taking in to consideration in your driving line/style and that is the one which is right on the exit of turn 4 going on to the long straight. if you are bombing that corner really hard the bump can get the back end to lighten up a little bit.
aside from that, there are some bumps between turns 11 and 12 which would be the hard 90 degree and then the big sweeper. its a bit bumpy in there but its a generally low speed corner so it doesn’t affect too much.
