Just wondering will it rub the coilover if i put 17X8 et27 front and 17X9 et35 on my 93 240sx with rolled fenders. Thanks.
It should be fine. Just gotta be careful with tire sizes. I’ve seen 17x8 and 17x9 35mm clear fine with coilovers. thats actually my set up which will be on hopefully by mid to end of april.

that camber setup is going to make you twitchy … if you drive the 401 with that kid of camber then your always going to be jinking the wheel to get the car out of the semi grooves in the lane… ( similar to trying to drive over streetcar tracks ) Save that setup for drifiting, Ontario roads are not going treat your tyres well at that camber. Not to mention the complete loss of straight line grip, 1.0-1.5 deg in the rear would be the max on the street you’d need.
toe is what makes a car twitchy i dont think camber does so much. Also tires with large tread blocks will tend to follow the grooves in the road more than a soft sidewall all season for example.
This is from what i’ve read and personal experiance. My MR2 on stock suspension with slicks was twitchy as hell on the highway just because there was no tread to flex around the grooves in the road.
That really isn’t that much camber dude.

To Ian: Please realize that the majority of SON members are not looking for a dissertation on physics or the ISBN number of a book. Explaining things in a simple manner with lots of pictures is best. A good example would be Gonads posts. Lots of pics and simple statements. The goal of SON is to assist the 240 community, not beat them over the head with a textbook.
To Sasha: I dunno…umm don’t incite Ian because he does this all the time? I agree with what you and Malcolm were saying and seeing as you two have more combined seat time than Ian I tend to place more weight with real track experience than with keyboard bench racing.
