OK I got my colony setup. I can send citizens to the mill but not to the sulfur pits. Do I need to research wealth again. Currently all I have is a level 1 townhall upgrading to level 2 as we speak.
Should be able to send them, I was able to right away to the Crystal Mine. Do you have people that you can send or did you use them all in the mill?
You may not have enough citizens? I’m not sure… all I know is that i immediately upgraded town hall, built a tavern and started collecting. Get a trade port and a trading post… if your colony is close ( island or 2 away ) don’t bother making a:
workshop
barracks
shipyard
You basically wanna pump as much wine into your people as fast as possible to get that economy rolling. make sure to send some ships to protect the harbour and send a few phlanax.
Ok I think I figured it out. For some reason when I go to island view, it’ll only let me click on either the mill or mine once. If I reload the screen, then I can enter the mine or mill again. Weird.
I tried to send some phlanax but it said I don’t have a barracks in my colony.
Oh really? Lame. Must have been patched or something… oh well, build one I guess… but don’t upgrade it.

Those tips will be very helpful. This is getting to be better and better each day! And I seriously cannot say “I love the score calculator!” enough! I can finally pillage the minerals I need, instead of buying em! Stupid people with 0 military… what are they thinking??

My problem is that I’ve been raping the islands around me for so long that they finally got a clue and built some defenses. 
Which isn’t a big deal really, because now I’m working on setting up my second colony and I can pretty much get any resource I need.

I built a gov. residence for the hell of it. Plus it allows you to switch your capital if you need to.
