its all in how u drive ppl are fast as fuck in awd others are fast in rwd some are even fast in fwd(like i said some hahaha) its all in how u drive it if ur driving ur talon like u drive ur 240 that is why ur not liking it as much rember S13’s are bad for understeer and if ur used of that then ull be driving like that in ur talon that prolly doesnt understeer as much try driving it a bit more and get a better feel for the car or jsut get ride of it and drive ur S13(thats what i would do hahaha)

I was On the phone with him today…

By the sounds of it… the turbo went for a poo… FOr unknown reasons… and started burning rediculous amounts of oil through the turbo… This in turn starved the engine Of oil… thus causing it to sieze up!

nothing to do with broken ring lands from detionation… But but just a case of turbo going bad. then running out of oil…

I hate to say it LOL… but welcome my friend to dsms. They really are a love hate relationship… I Know you hate the car now… But once you fix it… and get it going with a EVO 3 turbo and the front mount… U will be all happy again lol… I gaurantee it…

MY 2G eclipse GSX I could drift that thing all the time… it acted more RWD the FWD… You just need the proper tires on there… and maybee a Different rear diff… I noticed that one feels like a open diff to me… butt ya…

Yarr, engine is blown, no joke. The turbo blew (no clue why?) when I was happily boosting along the highway, and then car lost too much oil and the motor went because I lacked the common sense to just get it towed home.
Now I need some sort of a 4G63, and I think I want it to be a 6-bolt? I’m gonna get an oil pressure gauge though, for some reason I think it would’ve told me that turbo goin bye bye before it actually happened.

i’m going to need some gauges too actually…let me know when you’re gonna get them, perhaps i’ll tag along…hopefully we can get a deal?

and i doubt the oil pressure gauge would have told you the turbo was going.

your car is a '93 so it’s probably a 7-bolt unless it’s been swapped to 6 bolt before. it would probably be worth your while to swap to a 6 bolt if you don’t already have one.

It was a JDM 6 bolt. Factory gauge wasn’t warning me of anything :frowning: Everything was totally “within spec” when it blew.

Wow that is super ghey but the starvation happens quick in those cars. I know a guy that popped an oil return line. Light came on but the motor was grenaded before he turned the key off and coasted.

You want another 6-bolt (number of bolts on the flywheel) better casting, no crankwalk, bigger turbo and intake ports.

I got lucky with my 2G, I maintained it but also beat the piss out of it for years. Motor finally let go when I went with 20G and pushing 400whp…but even that day was at the strip 25 runs or so then racing an AMG on the way back…
