S10 4.3L starter help!

i have a 95 S10 4.3L 5speed 4x4. i have all the wires off the starter and its now stuck between the frame and trans.
is there a trick to get this out?

lol i just did mine in my blazer. try and drop the inspection cover on the tranny. thats what i did.

bah i unbolted the motor and lifted it a bit

Take the tin inspection cover off, the skid plate (if u have one), and I ~think~ you will need to remove or loosen the cross member…wiggle the fuck out of it…just make sure it doesn’t fall and bounce of your face.:rubicant:

i just changed mine on thursday. took an hour and a half but was fun when the clump of mud hit me in the face.
