Are you going turbo still? If so I would recommend not skimping on the tuning, get a Jimwolftech ecu or aem
My last 240 I had a t3 on the KA24de, and it spooled up good and had tons of torque on just 6psi
But it would be pretty cool to do a nice n/a KA, since they now make 272 cams
My first 240 with the '91 KA24DE was up to 160whp without cams just I/H/E, head ported, electric fan. My point being that 170whp would make a fun track motor

Yeah I did like the idea of the KAT but I got a Running SR with all the basic upgrades plus coilovers, another car ect ect. for a grand more than I could build a 300whp KA for.
Ok so heres the deal, I stopped posting in this thread because I finally got it on the road about the first week of July, I did every track event during the summer until early september:
Then I ended up going to Maryland to get this car:
I was Really in love with the power of this car, plus the lsd and coilovers. The wheels (work emotion CR KAI) have also been my dream for years.
I took it to a track day in october:
Okay so a few minutes after this pic was taken I was coming around the 3rd? turn at dunville and I hit the brakes and nothing happened. The pedal felt normal the whole time? (later I found out it had shitty old dirty fluid, should have checked! :meh:) I ended up crashing into a huge pile of dirt/grass clumps at like 30MPH. Luckily it was only grass and dirt and it was loosly packed, the only damage was a cracked front bumper and a fucked alignment.

I ended up taking it back out for a few easy laps until I came back in because it didnt feel quite right.
So that was last season. The reason I bought the black car was to take all the good shit (sr, wheels, 5 lug, z brakes, coilovers, 2 way, chuki bumper, ect ect) and put it on my red/black car to have one ultimate beast and then swap all the lesser parts on to the black one to end up with a nice DD as well.
Since the end of the year I have swapped: Coilovers, toe links, seats, and a few other things. after that school has kicked my ass and both cars went into storage in seperate places making swapping parts virtually impossible.
I have a hard semester that just started today so Im not sure If I will be able to have this finished by a reasonable time in summer.
So thats the goal mechanically. cosmetically I havent decieded to stick with the pop ups or go with s13 silvia bricks. looking to model a little bit after either of these cars ( although mine will be red)
either way though this will come last as I have always had a car that is function>>>>>form
So in the next couple of days I hope to have current pics of both cars and then I will update when things get a little warmer and I can actually start working on the cars.
