s13 wheel fitment

hi guys im wondering what offset should i go if im having a 17x9 all around with 215/40 tires? i have oem shocks or do in need to have a coilovers? the car is a 240sx covertible

+8 to +15

You going to need coilovers to make it look decent. Rims before coils = dumb, What rims are you getting?

well trying to go vsxx gold with chrome lip…do i need a fancy coilovers? can you give me a cheap and work great coilovers? well im planning to put on the money on some stuffs like muffler or racing seats cause its a convertible im not going to drift this car just for the looks

any advices for the cheap coilovers?? and one more thing does offset do i need some pull ? or just roll fenders? thx bro

thats about as cheap as it gets for new.

one word … WOW. If your looking for wheel fitament its key that you have adjustable coil overs. Its coilovers and then wheels. otherwise your gonna end up looking stupid.

fitment is a relative term.

what hella sick jdm to you, might be weak as fuck to me.

so i deside to buy coilovers and lucky me i got enough money for it heheh!!! so thx for the advices… but yea +8 and +15 ??? hmm do i need to pull my fender or just roll? cause im kinda scary doing pull any more offest advices?

try searching, this shits been covered enough.

if you dont flop on buying the s15 front end, start ordering a new bumper right now, because that one that comes with it is terrible

17x9 +15 should tuck with a roll or a mild pull (judging by thats a popular MB Battle size). If you go plus 8 you’ll have to fuck around with rear camber settings if you don’t want to pull the bitch which means multi link as well. Albeit is based on which rims you run as well… it’s not uncommon for some guys to pull off a 17x9 +5 on stock body.

Offset I’d go with +25 on a 9 personally. With the bit of stretch you have on the rim with the 215 it should clear without any fender rolling/pulling. If your up for rolling and pulling, then +15-20

+25 on a 9? It will fit no problem, but it wont be “flush” lol

Multisynclg bro i got the s15 and his delivering it to me so dont hate me bro… so i guess ill go +20 so it will look a little flashy?? how about the front? so rear +20 now need to have a answer on the front  and i decide to go 215/40 tires to clear my coilovers

If your running a 215, then go with ~+10-15 in the front and ~+5-10 in the rear. Or just go with something like +10 all around so you can rotate them.
That will require you to roll your fenders and slight camber.

This was my convertible with 17x9 +5 in the back and 17x9 +10 in the front. The tires were 215/45/R17. The rear fenders were just rolled (not pulled) and the splash guards were removed in the front. I was running quite a bit of camber though. -3.5 degrees in the back and -3 in the front. It didn’t rub anywhere.
