S1DC LS6 240sx

Hey guys,

I finally got the beast started last night so I figured its time to post a small build thread. I don’t have a ton of pics because I was always so focused on working that I never really took the time to snap some along the way. I will post up what I have and some videos. The car is currently awaiting dyno and as soon as I get the numbers I will post them up. Build specs are to follow. The car sounds absolutely bananas, I have a twin 3 inch OD, 3 inch long straight pipes on it that dumps just before the rear wheels. No res, no muffler. Bone chattering goodness!

Here’s a sneak peek from last night:

p.s if someone knows how to directly embed vimeo and youtube videos rather then a link let me know. makes for a better build thread

ohhhhhhhhhhhh my sounds gnarly man

MY GOD, I can safely say the LS series motors are one of very few motors that sends shivers down my spine when i listen to them run.

ahaha what can I say, priorities I guess lol. How’d you do that anyways?

That’s one serious S13, great job!

Chills man, just chills all over. Great work. That thing is sex.

Car put down 450hp and 460tq. We may be able to squeeze some more out with timing adjustments, but this is a conservative tune to help the motors life expectancy lol. I will post a graph once I get them and update with new numbers.

Here is a little dyno video, I could never climb the roller before with my SR lol

someone embed this for me lol;

if i wanted this motor setup how much would i be looking at with tune n all?

I’ve got 12 grand into the motor with the Sikky mount kit and the stand alone just cost me 1500. I don’t pay for tuning but that is an extra 500-700 for sure.

could you daily a beast like this? or would you be paying out your a$$ for gas for the rest of your life

I got great gas mileage in my 6-speed LS1 car. You cruise at 1500rpm on the highway…

LS motors are such great machinery when it comes to gas. like Dan said, it has so much torque you can cruise at such a low RPM all day long and not waste gas.

Unless you dont have 10k to spend at once, a good reason to save 10k up to do this is that it doesnt have many negatives. spend 10k in a sr swap, happens real quick.

Here are 2 runs from the end of the day at CSCS. Motor was a beast, blew up the clutch slave tho.
