The kbb on my evo is over 20 as well but nada is 13.5 and loans are based on nada. And the car isnt really that rare where you can get the higher value

Agreed that KBB is way over priced, that’s why I went middle. NADA unfortunately lowballs. Loans for mine a couple years ago would only give me about $8k for a 33k 2000 s2000. Sorry but I think we all know that the S2000 with only 33k on it is worth more than $8k with a clean title.

Definitely something good to know. I believe when I went looking for a loan for the S… It was HSBC I believe. I want to say just before they got bought out. They would only give like 8k, I laughed at them and walked out. (credit was not a problem)

I drove an ap2 today from a local southern CA dealership and I just don’t think its going to work for me. I’m 6’4" 220 atheletic build and it just felt too tight. Don’t get me wrong, I had head room and was able to operate the pedals without interfering with the non adjustable steering wheel, but it just felt too tight. Plus, being into sports (mtn biking, snowboarding, hockey, etc) it just doesn’t cater to my lifestyle. It would have to be a weekend car only, which is something I am not prepared to invest in at this point. Plus… this ap2 felt tired (82k, clunks, clutch felt on its way out, etc) so I wasn’t super thrilled with the driving experience either.
I am seriously considering stretching my budget to get into a new brz, but id have to take a close look at one before really considering it…

Realistically I dont think I will ever sell the car. Its paid for, its cool, its nice, it has “enough” power to stay out of trouble etc.
They only down fall is 2 seats. At first it was fun but with a growing family it doesnt make sense. The only thing that has saved it from Autotrader is the fact that its paid for. Otherwise, cash from it would be needed as a down payment towards an Odyssey.

Do the FRS or BRZ. You will love it. Yes it has rear seats, but good luck fitting anyone in them… not even a 4 year old will be comfortable in them.
Now as for room… we just took my car and skurges frs camping, holy shit can you fit a lot into that little sports car of his. Its a very fun, amazing handling machine. SLOW with some torque, it definitely has its offsets on speed with the handling. Worried about winter, you have the traction control and stabilization control… this car will be fine. If I was looking at a new car to compare to the s2k and keep a reasonable amount of room at the same time, they did it right. Personally, I’d have to have one turboed/supercharged.
Now if you have some money to drop at the car, my understanding… you can get 60+ hp N/A for a small amount. That would put you 20hp over the S.
2001 silverstone with red interior. 35k on the body and about 3k on the fully built block. Precision 6262 turbo ect. ect. made 538whp on JD’s dyno. Price I am not really sure on yet to be honest. but probably around 17k. Ask the chooch about the car, he knows it.
