the key was breaking first…
these will work. used them all the time way back when i worked at a tire place and people would loose there keys. you slide them over the lug crack them once with a hammer to make sure you have a good bite then run off with an impact.
Sometimes you can pound a 12 point socket on it.Maybe heat then beat it on and then use a long breaker bar.
i forgot to say that these are tapered so that you get a better grip on the lug the harder you pound it on. i have never had this tool fail me and not work. this will be the easiest and fastest route to get it off. should literally take you a few minutes
right, that works great on regular wheels, but if he is using tuner lugs then the rim has a small hole a little bigger then the lug nut, so the socket wont fit inside the rim. if it breaks weld it back up.
like i said before i doubt it siezed on, its just on too tight.
for a fee joe will come out n air hamemr the rims off the car… the catch is ur gonna need new rims
can you pop the hub off the car and burn the back of the stud off and pound it out with a screw driver or punch
its worth a try better to replace the stud and not the wheel
pound a socket on that shit just like if you whated to stell the rims … if you need help let me know
Pounding a socket on it worked for me
You can hire tony and everything he touches either cost you money, is hacked together,or comes back. That is the price you pay for hiring a sock cock autistic kid with the common sense of an infant
I went to the hardware store today to try and find a socket I could get to fit in the wheels. I bought a few different ones I will update tomorrow…
Why does it always seem that a job that should take 10 min ends up taking hours and $$$$!!!
lol
hey, i’ll be at the shop like all day sunday working on shit, swing by I’ll take care of it.
i got lug remover perfect for tuner lugs you can borrow it.
hahaha…
I need to post the picture of how Bacon and I got my tuner lugs off the miata
I’ll be at the shop tomorrow. Look for a grimace fucking purple auto integra out front. If you see it, I’m there, knock on the garage window as I’ll be blasting tunes.
OK, you missed me. I’m not at the shop anymore. Maybe tomorrow if you’re around.
weld a ratchet extension to the lug itself. then use a real long breaker bar
pound a socket on there for sure… i had to do the same thing because spline drive suck… i think i used a 17mm or somewhere around there.
Hey thought I would give an update… after not finding any size socket to fit over the nuts and into the wheels we just had to drill out the studs… in all I got the first wheel off… 13 out of the remaining 15 lugs and studs needed to be drilled… I think that would be lesson learned…
7 wheel keys and $80 in drill bits later…
Got the damn things off…
Kid at west Herr collision owns this car now?
