sh*t on me

Werd… it’s not the end of the world. I made alot of dumb decisions (especially involving cars) when I was younger… most of them made because I let my eagerness cloud my judgement.

now when I look back on shit, I realize that I could be quite a few thousand dollars richer had I just did what the rents asked lol.

ah well, ya live and ya learn… it’s your cash, do what you want… but I bet any $$$, in 5 or 6 years you’d probably agree with most of the people posting in here.

Get a Tempo with a v6 and a five speed. My friend had one and it was actually pretty fast. It could spin the tires into 3rd gear.

I had a POS '87 Ranger for my first vehicle when I was 17. My parents thought I should look around more but I convinced them that this was the truck I wanted. I shouldve listened because that truck was a POS.

My brother bought a much better truck for his first when he was 16 but he totalled it into a tree 3 weeks later. He got it fixed (over $3k in damage) and then totalled it again less than a year later (over $5k in damage but he fixed most of it himself). He traded the truck in on an '05 Ram 2500 and hasnt wrecked it yet but he’s gotten a bunch of tickets since he’s had his license.

He’s almost 19 now and Im 24 and Ive only had one ticket and one accident (spun into a sign post).

My youngest brother is 16 and is getting a '00 Cavalier from a guy he works for (taking some money out of his pay every week). Hopefully he drives better than my other brother does.

Are you for real??? Wow…

Yeah. I drove it a few times.

He paid $90 for it at a salvage auction because the 1/4 panels were dented and he drove it until he hit a telephone pole with it.

I wouldve never thought a POS '93 Tempo could be fast but for some reason his was. Everyday when leaving work he’d spin the tires on it.

The V6/ 5 speed 2 doors are kinda rare though. They used the Taurus 3.0.

yeah thats what i did. i bought one if my best friend’s 1988 Chevy pickup. yeah it ahd a 350 in it and loud exhaust, but it was a great first car for me and i never really got in any trouble with it. while i did have to put some decent money into it, i saved up and got my Porsche a year later, and it wokred out that the truck blew up right as i put the porsche on the road. then i got the Dakota R/T, which IMO is a million times better than the 944.

point im trying to get at is just get something reliable and drive it for a year or 2 and then in a coupple years, u can have some money and get something nice. who knows? u might actually like whatever car end up getting. I used to not like trucks, then after i had one, i will always own a truck now.

lol my buddy had a 944… car was the biggest POS  it deffinitly saw some abuse

i beat the living daylights out of mine and nothing ever happened to it…although i did only drive it for 4 months before i got my Dakota. i felt sorry for the guy that bought it though hehe
