Sbardys gold turns to silver. He likes silver. But same idea. They get shit done. Oh, and when you need Insurance for the house Paul, let me know. Oh and we got a mortgage guy too. Oh and please don’t buy in Schenectady.

colonie sucks bro, duh! crime rate is high as FUK

I really would like to hear Jellies logic here…

Schenectady isnt all that bad, atleast not the Woodlawn area. Its just over the bridge from me and its like Rotterdam Jr.

Around my house most houses go for $170k. Over the bridge a decent one is less than $100k. I really dont need a huge house because its just for me and I dont need a mansion. I also dont want to spend a fortune on a house.

Ill let you know Matt. Im probably not going to start looking until next spring. Im going to pay off all my bills and then save a bit for a downpayment/furnishings.

Good deal Paul. Taxes blow thats the bummer

schnec is grim

yeah, they are much higher than Rotterdam but its the trade off.

I found a house in Schenectady on Craigslist a few months ago for $25k but taxes were $5400 a year.

No idea how the taxes can be 1/5 of the cost of the house.

I want to find land and put a prefab on it eventually. Middle of nowhere preferably. I want my kid to grow up not knowing what a mall is.

I used to think Id want to live out in the country but then I realized how much I like being close to everything and having a neighborhood I can walk/bike around.

I guess Im more of a city person than country person.

Well, houses typically aren’t $25K. Must have been something that needed a massive amount of work.

It did need a bunch of work but I was ok with that. My brothers do remodeling so I would have them help me fix it up over time. It was livable as it was but had issues like peeling paint on the walls and needed some repairs but there were people living in it while it was for sale.

I like my space. And we’ve always been the type of people to do our things like shopping in bulk so we don’t have to constantly go out. I can see how it’s not for everyone though.

Houses that are $25K have more issues than peeling paint. I’d guess there was structural issues.

It was also borderline ghetto, close to Hamilton Hill.

why would you, of all people, want to live in the ghetto?

because its affordable. Id get a gun or two.

Nothing at all wrong with Sch’dy. Get a couple’a ****** together and you can run the whole block, easy.

Or just get a pool and hire James the ****** hating dolphin for security.

or just get some honkeys and crackers together and take the city back
