Holy shit, the packing came out pretty easy, just took a warm shower and then pulled. A little bloody, but hey it’s surgery lol. I can honestly say that with the packing out I’m already feeling 10x better.

Hope it all goes well and you can smell again. I have nasty septum issues and non stop sinus infections…I kinda need this too. 
Srsly do it, it’s only the day after and I can already tell that I’m gonna be able to breathe so much better. The first two days are rough, not gonna lie. The second I took the packing out it was much easier to breathe and swallow.
My current situation is what to eat. I haven’t had anything but sherbert, freeze pops and scrambled eggs since I got home yesterday. I want something solid so bad lol.
My friend had the surgery this past March. He didn’t feel any improvement till recently. Lol the birthmark on his nose moved to the opposite side after the surgery.

They say recovery time ranges from 2-6 weeks, I’m aiming for 2 weeks…lol.

Let me make this clear…apple juice tastes amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to smell/taste food like this, ever. It’s only day three of post surgery too. Holy fucking shit.
I really can’t begin to explain to you what it’s like being able to experience something how you were supposed to be able to. Wow.

just got back from a CT scan on my sinuses… my right side is completely blocked and left side is nearly blocked. Looks like i’ll be joining the sinus surgery crew in the very near future. Bitter:sweet.
Are you ok with the cystic Fibrosis. I read up on that after you posted and it really scared me.
I have blood work saturday morning and a sweat test on Tuesday. just trying not to think about it, it’s scary as fuck… especially since the symptoms explain the past 10-15 years of my life, of which there was no prior explanation.
My old doctor sucked, i switched to a more reputable doctor after getting my new insurance, so now things are getting done that should have probably been done years and years ago. sucks.
Well, i’m rooting for you man. In many situations I am in a similar boat… crappy doctors, things i’ve been dealing with for years, and now it’s time to just do something about it.

:tup: I fully recommend this surgery, I’m going in today to have my stents removed (apparently the worst feeling in the world lol) but after today it’s all down hill. I can already feel air enter my nose easier even tho I am still stuffed up.
So the stents were removed today, and everything was vacuumed out…all I can say is wow.
Not wow cuz of the pain, but wow because of the car ride home. I have never been able to just inhale the deepest breathe of fresh air through my nose like I did today.
It is almost depressing knowing that I’ve missed this for the last 10 years of my life.
Get this surgery done, it seriously is the best thing I have EVER done for myself.
