It plugs into the back of the stock head unit, you will switch to AUX or something like that to play your satellite radio through it. It acts the same way as your JVC’s AUX input.
You would be surprised to see the mark up on a simple antenna cable.
Like the other one you posted. This direct connection would give the best sound quality.
