I smoke, and I hate it. I was dumb(er) when I was younger.
I use my ashtray in the car. It stinks and it’s messy as hell. In my garage, I throw them anywhere, then sweep up once a week. Anywhere else I try to be considerate.
If the tossing the butt thing pisses you off so much…look at the ground near doorways to any bar. Now that is disgusting!

i couldnt agree more… i hate seeing them flicked out…its distracting, sometimes they burn if it hits you in the face… i have no problem dropping my own “stuff” back on your car… none what so ever… marbles leave dents, coins leave scratches… shit the heal of my boot could leave a nice ding…

What’s really gross is like Skrapper said, at the outside of bars or the outside of college dorms. My freshman year, there were a crapload of butts on the hill. It just looks disgusting regardless of how not harmful it is for the environment.
