Actually in the eyes of the law in general you are wrong. These are places open to the public, and are therefore considered “public places”. By opening up their property to the general public and encouraging the general public to enter as a means of the support, the private business owner has agreed to give up certain rights that they may have had as a “private” property owner in order to receive other protections under the law. It’s all a big game of give and take.

so pretty much if i started a country club dance club in pittsburgh i would be exempt? juts make people pay a memebrship fee to geta card and make them pay the normal cover as a maintenance fee on the membership correct?
