Hey,

I’m just wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

S13 Hatch running a S13 SR20DET @ 9psi, crank on it in boost for medium legths of time 10seconds +. and i can smell (and feel) gas (eyes burning)

but it only does this if the windows are down.

any ideas??

what did your sending unit look like when you installed a walbro pump?

rotten and suspect?

the lines (rubber) are affixed properly…?

There is also another little hose that you can’t see unless you drop the tank this little metal piece can rust a little hole. It did on mine. All S13s smell like gasoline.

i noticed this too when windows are down. I just changed my sending unit and theres no leaks anywhere. :? its even more noticable with a full tank.

Its the 3rd line. I don’t know what its for but it is the problem. You can’t see it through the sending unit hole. It’s a small piece and gets a rust crack.

Or if you are driving an '89. It’s one of your injectors.

the third line could be a vapour line…

It’s weird though, how come you only notice it with the windows down ???

Theres a decent size line(bigger than a brake line) that is cut and brazed. Im asuming this is my vapour line. Where is this line located at one and and where on the other end. sohc.
