Snow Fun?

just woundering how many of u were out with the handbreak up or the rwd in full effect tonite? i killed almost a full tank showin some guys how its done at the Poweraide centre. you know its that time where the fun starts…Ps People on the roads drive like idiots…cutting people off or hittin curbos…or maybe i just drive like a idiot and i can seem to control what im doing???

anyways post on about curb hits and fun snow drifts  happy sliding

I slid a little in a empty parking lot just to get an idea of how my Legacy handels when it does come loose

i hate snow and ice.

i used to love it when i was beginning to learn but now i hate it.

i need grip. i hate having the idea of not knowing if i have the grip when i need it or not.

its fun to learn but after a while you just learn to dislike it.

took me 35 minutes to get home from work because i was on semi bald fm901s. couldn’t even get past 5km/hr without being sideways. having a stage 2 clutch doesn’t help as well.

getting them snow tires tmw!

i tried the jeep out in a parking lot too

responds well to flicks but on throttle has way too much front bias :frowning:

tires are shit too, on the dangerous side so i think it calls for some hakas

hahaha ya, My car is kinda odd. It had understeer and then it will power over. Very different then I am use to.

i slid my dads truck a bit tonight. its really fun, summer tires with a locked rear diff! even if i leave the 4X4 on it still slides like mad.

A couple days ago a few buddies and myself planned to help each other with some work today.
Shifting spots we had 4 240’s outside and 1 in the garage.

11am-9pm — they all had simple tune ups , suspension adjustments, and some other small & big things.

Since there is some beautiful parking lots around the area me and the guys headed out to take our turns. only 2 of 5 people have winter driven rwd’ cars… the other 3 were having a learning experience… and most definitely the time of their life.

Favorite winter specs for 2006-2007:

Front Set-up: OEM Shocks/springs - Winter tires100%.
Rear Set-up: Coilovers Set STIFF - All Seasons 50%. new diff/tranny fluid.

snow, salt , or just wet road conditions, whenever you accerlate. Even LOW-RPM it breaks loose beautifully. Keeping the outofcontrol car in control is easier with this set up then all the set ups I’ve tried…

Although when you go over a dip in a parking lot you really feel it…

Cant wait til the winter actually starts.

and for everyone who’s e-brake is broken: Get it fixxed ASAP. its cheap and you can do 180’ degree turns & cut down on understeer

Front Set-up: OEM Shocks/springs - Winter tires100%.
Rear Set-up: Coilovers Set STIFF - All Seasons 50%. new diff/tranny fluid.

as fun as that sounds, it also sounds extermily dangerous. try not too hit any curbs or poles. they can be pretty sneeky sometimes.

yea , I was using a friends car so I set it up that way … Just a night thing… Since one of the coils is making a bit of noise everything’s geting adjusted tomorrow

oh, i thought you were driving like that all winter

nono , just having stupid good natured fun.

tomorrow winter tires on the rear ,coilovers as soft as they go , stock suspension stays on the front…Its my buddies first winter in a rwd car… last thing he needs to do is drive around a snow plowed 240.

This is what happens when you slide mommy n daddys sunfire in a snowy parking lot…

funny guy asked where he could get a sunfire door from really quick…
Video i have isnt that good but i’ll post it in the morning

sorry about the news on the sunfire, thats why its optimal experience when the LOT IS EMPTY 8) goin around lightpoles is nice. work time tho brb

haha i was heading to work last night and i was dorifting the buick. I dont trust the e brake so i just do weight transfers at slow speeds to try and get it sideways…soooo lame i hate FWD

I lust for this weather, quiet snow fall, fresh layer of sleet.

stock exhuast and a KA in a hatch that doesnt really matter…

i had a solid hour of fun in various lots, then my lil sister wanted a ride to the bus station, i was more than happy to oblige.

when i was out of town last week the Police had a call of a black nissan doing donuts out front of where i live, they came and checked the hood of my car but it was cold.

last night it would have been nice and toasty… but afaik they didnt get a call, i’ll know in a few hours if they did or not.

i was sliding in and out of various parking lots like a porn star at a gang bang.

^^what were they going to do? lay a dangerous charge?

canada is fct… scandinavian countries encourage drivers to ‘practice’ on snowy ice covered parking lots. In canada its a no no, everyone needs to be nearly ignorant of their cars winter abilities until its too late…

Wow that was an awesome post, I totally agree with that last line.

I was looking out the window and watching the snow fall with no cars on my house’ driveway… and deep inside I knew that son members are dwelling the streets out there with nissan minds in all sorts of vehicles…

like 4.7 HOs buddy
