anyways post on about curb hits and fun snow drifts happy sliding
i used to love it when i was beginning to learn but now i hate it.
i need grip. i hate having the idea of not knowing if i have the grip when i need it or not.
its fun to learn but after a while you just learn to dislike it.
took me 35 minutes to get home from work because i was on semi bald fm901s. couldn’t even get past 5km/hr without being sideways. having a stage 2 clutch doesn’t help as well.
A couple days ago a few buddies and myself planned to help each other with some work today.
Shifting spots we had 4 240’s outside and 1 in the garage.
11am-9pm — they all had simple tune ups , suspension adjustments, and some other small & big things.
Since there is some beautiful parking lots around the area me and the guys headed out to take our turns. only 2 of 5 people have winter driven rwd’ cars… the other 3 were having a learning experience… and most definitely the time of their life.
Favorite winter specs for 2006-2007:
Front Set-up: OEM Shocks/springs - Winter tires100%.
Rear Set-up: Coilovers Set STIFF - All Seasons 50%. new diff/tranny fluid.
snow, salt , or just wet road conditions, whenever you accerlate. Even LOW-RPM it breaks loose beautifully. Keeping the outofcontrol car in control is easier with this set up then all the set ups I’ve tried…
Although when you go over a dip in a parking lot you really feel it…
Cant wait til the winter actually starts.
and for everyone who’s e-brake is broken: Get it fixxed ASAP. its cheap and you can do 180’ degree turns & cut down on understeer
yea , I was using a friends car so I set it up that way … Just a night thing… Since one of the coils is making a bit of noise everything’s geting adjusted tomorrow
tomorrow winter tires on the rear ,coilovers as soft as they go , stock suspension stays on the front…Its my buddies first winter in a rwd car… last thing he needs to do is drive around a snow plowed 240.
haha i was heading to work last night and i was dorifting the buick. I dont trust the e brake so i just do weight transfers at slow speeds to try and get it sideways…soooo lame i hate FWD
I lust for this weather, quiet snow fall, fresh layer of sleet.
stock exhuast and a KA in a hatch that doesnt really matter…
i had a solid hour of fun in various lots, then my lil sister wanted a ride to the bus station, i was more than happy to oblige.
when i was out of town last week the Police had a call of a black nissan doing donuts out front of where i live, they came and checked the hood of my car but it was cold.
last night it would have been nice and toasty… but afaik they didnt get a call, i’ll know in a few hours if they did or not.
^^what were they going to do? lay a dangerous charge?
canada is fct… scandinavian countries encourage drivers to ‘practice’ on snowy ice covered parking lots. In canada its a no no, everyone needs to be nearly ignorant of their cars winter abilities until its too late…
I was looking out the window and watching the snow fall with no cars on my house’ driveway… and deep inside I knew that son members are dwelling the streets out there with nissan minds in all sorts of vehicles…
