Snowpocalypse '14-'15 - Now 13 Deaths

this snow stuff isn’t even that high on the list of reasons you won’t ever find me living in the southtowns.

And it’s sunny in Tonawanda again.

From the lower part of my barn

Lol

This is pretty awesome. Where’s @Paulo?

whoa!^^no thanks

Seriously though, a few giant snow blowers wouldn’t even put a tiny dent in that $60 billion surplus Cuomo has been bragging about.

6 deaths now =(

I’m friends with the guy who made both those boards.

Who wants to do some winch snowboarding? I have 1700 feet of rope on it, it hauls about 25-30 mph.

Ya I thought they installed that massive system to prevent this and allow them to keep the roads clear when snow builds and not let cars on it.

Omg this sounds awesome.

Whatever system that’s in place still requires a human being to make the call to shut things down. They did it too late this time.

And all the trucks / cars that were being turned away at the PA line just decided to get off the highway and take byways instead… which then clogged up those roads as well.

Ugh I’m worried about my house on Townline in Elma. Been in Aruba for a week and were supposed to be coming home tomorrow, though it looks like we might get “stuck” in Orlando. It will be fun trying to make it to my front door in sandals and short sleeves.

Id also be worried about the rain and 60degree weather coming sunday

I would be bringing all of the stuff in the basement to the 1st floor. Theres going to be a lot of flooding

This. Did people drive around/through them…I mean wtf.

They have a few of these, the issue is with cars in the middle of the roads… those things will chew up anything smaller than a mid-size car and shoot it across peoples lawns like a tree chipper; anything larger than a mid-size will damage the blower.

Well then they should close the fucking road BEFORE the fucking storm so there are no cars. Are they the only people in the world who didn’t know this storm was coming?

Maybe a very large excavator could pluck the cars out of the way. I guess they need to decide which is more important, life or convenience.

Anyone in the Southtowns have any luck getting plowed out of their houses? My mother-in-law is on chestnut ridge road in OP and could really use some help. Plows came by and completely plowed her drive in.

Obviously willing to pay, let me know.

Also, if anyone has a reliable plow service in the area for continued service through the winter, please let me know their contact information.

This shit is scary. Wish I could help people down there in some way. Digging out people who have been stranded on 90 specifically.

Crusing the 90 helping people on a backcountry snowmobile would be pretty fun and rewarding.
