I am at walden and Harlem it is free moving
You walk. Ask your neighbors for help. You have to also remember many places were shut down, so going out was pointless.
Didnt they just make a walking ban too? or is that in only a few areas?
I drove down the street last night to 7-11, needed water since ours was off. I helped 2 people get unstuck, I just don’t understand why people think there FWD with 30k on all seasons is not going to get stuck.
I also ripped off the bumper of a chevy cruze trying to get him unstuck, he hooked up his end I hooked up mine…he didn’t find the tow hook.

I drove down that road today, It is surreal. There is no way even my big Ferd could plow that shit. There were tons of people with shovels standing on top of 7 foot snow banks just staring at me as I drove by. It was weird, I have never seen so many people outside of their houses.
My one gutter is bent from the overhang, but I might be able to just straighten it out once everything thaws off. I’m goin to shovel my roof soon
@HouseS2K 77 into arcade is clear but I think the 219 is open now anyways
Take a picture after the rain when all of those houses collapse. Am I the only one who expects a shit ton of collapses? Scary stuff.
Yeah, the number one problem she faces living there is the plows covering her driveway and destroying the mailbox, and it’s just insanely bad this time around. Someone from my sister-in-law’s facebook went over and helped her shovel/snowblow a path out. That might have been them you saw lol.
I’m expecting a whole different wave of emergencies when the rain starts falling and all this dry snow starts sucking up water weight like a sponge. Really hope I’m wrong.
My wife, my 8 year old, and I took advantage of the break to shovel the driveway. This pic was after I cleaned up what we got from round two after I shoveled from round 1. Got about halfway to the road from this pic. Too tired to take another. Should be able to break through tomorrow. Good times had by all.

Yeah being a 4 lane road she must get twice the snow plowed onto her drive. I wish I could have helped.

It is one of those threshold type of situations, nothing may happen or disaster may strike.
Roof conditions are all going to depend on how fast it melts. If it’s melting fast, the water should run off pretty quickly, but if it’s near freezing and the rain hitting the snow isn’t causing it to melt super fast, then that could be trouble.
Hopefully it’s a nice warm rain and rapid warm up.
It was sunny all and now it is puking again, I have to go wrestle with the snow blower. The plow just can’t push the snow back any further. It should be a nice 1/2 mile walk through the forest.
Lots of houses in Cheektowaga are already having issues…
I wonder how my old house is holding up in Cheektovegas… had a 1/12 roof on the Garage, and a 2/12 on part of the house.
