Snowpocalypse '14-'15 - Now 13 Deaths

One thing people aren’t considering is water damage on roofs that manage to avoid collapse. Ice and water shield runs a minimum of three feet from the eave, six feet if it’s done right. With snow holding water and backing it up higher, chances of water getting in above the ice / water shield coverage is much greater.

I just did 2 laps of the driveway. Over a mile of shitty heavy snow.

East Aurora won with 90.5" of snow. We beat hamburg by 10".

Any video like this lol?

Shoveled off my roof today. And knocked everything off of the gutters. Had quite the overhang and part of it is twisted but I’ll just put a spike thru in spring time.
I think I’ve been shoveling for 24 hours over the past couple days.
Had 4-5’ on the roof and we got 82" of snowfall.
Next time I think I’ll just keep up with the snowblower every 6" or so.

Just shoveled another roof however it was a little late the roof separated at the peak there was a 9-10inch gap you could see into the attic.

Least you could do is capitalize Hamburg. Why you gotta win like that?

If they won.

Check your HO policy guys. If you have a basic form policy, or HO1, collapse of building and/or weight of ice, snow or sleet are not covered perils.

If you have a broad form (HO2)or a special form(HO3), you have coverage for this.

All of my customers on here will have a broad or special form, unless they told me they didn’t want that coverage.

Snapped this picture today as I was out clearing 1 of the 4 driveways in my neighborhood and shoveled a few roofs. So many people who own homes, nowhere to be found with 6+ ft. of snow up top. Those will be the first to cry for public assistance when shit goes south in a few days.

I went to check on my office too and the roads are terrible in West Seneca as well as South Buffalo by Caz. Gave a guy a ride on my tailgate since he looked like he was struggling and helped some guy jump his car that died while he was trying to clear it off.

I have assed shoveled my roof, I mainly knocked off all the overhangs that could have ripped my gutters off. My one gutter is bent I’m hoping I can straighten it out.

a bunch of my neighbors snowblowed their driveways, and didn’t give me a hand knowing I was shoveling, but later they offered me to use their snowblower and I stopped after 10min because its easier to shovel then wrestle the snowblower and then pull it back and break up the snow with a shovel… The snow is too hard now, but I’m sure if I snowblowed the day it was coming down a snowblower would of worked better.

you have a half mile oval track as your driveway??!?

Good to see you today Rob, Hope the food was good. Glad I’m only doing this for 1 weekend then back to the normal grind.

It was excellent Tom! I needed that and so did my gf. She has been cooking, cleaning and making me coffee nonstop since this storm started so it was good to bring her home dinner, even if it was pizza and wings! That area was a wreck! I’m glad I had my truck, it was crazy out there!

I spent an hour and a half just clearing a spot behind my car, until a neighbor I’ve never met cruises by with a huge farm tractor with a snow blower as wide as a car attached. He just chopped through the icy snow pile by the street like it was nothing, and finished my driveway in a few minutes. It would have taken me hours. I had the biggest dumbest smile on my face.

Went outside and the gf and I tackled the driveway, since my landlord is a dick and snowblowed all the snow from his part of the driveway to mine. We dug out the escape and I managed to get it out after a few back and forths. Then a kid in a quadcab 3.9L magnum v6 plowed my driveway like a fucking boss, threw him some cash and that was the end until tomorrow and I can get the van out
.

Actually it is over a 1/4 mile and it was 4 laps. (I went to the street 2 times.)

now that travel bans are finally lifted, neither my parents nor the wifey’s need our help.

Lackawanna still has a travel ban but I left to drop my dog off at a kennel, I leave for Vegas tomorrow.

After breaking a shovel and a snow blower, I brought out the big gun.
