Don’t you not even live in Buffalo? Lol

^ Someone meme’d that SUV snow pic.

“Delivery en route to the Sheen residence” or some other booger sugar reference.

Ugh, Mondays. Am I right?

First thought through my mind.

Green Christmas anyone?

my wife is born and raised Orchard Park/Buffalo. You can take a the buffalonian out of buffalo, but you can’t take the buffalo out of the buffalonian? lol

Where was this?

lol

@boxxa Caz creek on Seneca St. in Ebenezer (WS)

Not far from where I work. Ridge Rd and Orchard Park Road, nearest major intersection. Holy shit!

I also did. And that’s the only way I see it.

Stay safe with the flooding guys, and these high winds.

I gave up on my basement once the water got past the concrete pad that the furnace is on- I had to call the fire department to suck most of the water out. It took about an hour with a fire hose. Hopefully the submersible pump will get the rest out soon. Major drainage work is now in order. Fuck home ownership, fuck living in this area. Except for the people, the people are great.

Cool idea, but I also read top to bottom so…

Can’t wait to see what the real winter has in store for us. 8/

That blows. I’m torn between doing an internal or external footer drain myself.

I don’t know much about drainage, but the water just builds up under my house until it starts coming through any little floor crack it can find. My walls are fine. Soon after, the sump can’t keep up. It drains into the side yard (neighbor’s) which is a designated drainage area and becomes a river after every melt, then goes to the ditch. My house seems to be higher than the rest of the property, but my street dips a bit right in front of my house.

Sounds like we have the same main issue…hydrostatic pressure. I have 2-3 main seeping areas, at the bottom of the wall where the footer meets the slab. One leak is from a crack, so different fix there of course. I’m torn cause an internal footer in a way invites the water into the area. External footer requires a full excavation and I can still picture the water table rising under the slab. Sorry for going OT gents, though it’s sort of related.

All I can think of now is a Buffalo humping a chick making Buffalo themed Christmas cards on a random beach someplace not snowing.

Hahaha

Flooding… This is why I built my house on a slope without a sump pump. For my house to flood the village of East Aurora would have to be under 200 feet of water.

come out west Sak.

I could see you living out by big bear or Yosemite…
