6755 in my project so far
just startin out on my TA. so far I bought a throttle body and MTi lid. the car needs a few small things (tires etc) and headers are next up. hoping for underdrive pulleys by the end of summer.
I’m just getting started, and I already don’t want to add it up. I still have alot more to go to get it where I want it…including a new block.
Maybe I’ll just lose the receipts so I can spare myself the agony.
IMHO…
If you have as much into your car to not want to add it up, then you spent your money in the wrong places…
for my project…probably under $5K for eveything…car, motor, suspension, exhaust, interior, etc…
budget performance :bigthumb:
$40 Forge diverter valve + $30 cone filter +$500 Greddy G2 exhaust = $570! sick huh.
It’s not in the wrong places…I’m buying my turbo setup. It’s just the fact that I am also building a new house. I’d rather not know what’s going to be in the new block knowing what has to go into my house too. Priorities. haha.
I have approx. $5000 into turbo setup + swap when this all said and done. That’s not including new block + sleeving + internals.
i thought that was a show car?
Thats cool man, i totally understand. I probably shouldn’t have said “wrong places”, I just keep track of every single thing I purchase, keep files, run tabs on things. I could run each of the cars I listed down to the penny, but thats just not necessary. Its the little things that kill ya anyways! :bash:
Staying on-topic, I just got the H22 for the ferio back, and it was $350 to clean/deck/hone, size mains and rods, assemble 4 random pistons on 4 random rods to make a matching set, and machine the crank. More than I thought it should be, but oh well.
Cost of car $4500
Transmissions $2000
Car fire $5800
Accident $3000
Mods $1000
Regualr maintenace $ priceless
