8 times of going offline and having techs come out 3 times and can’t find the problem. They checked everything from poles to lines to connectors and I even bought a new modem. There service is shit and so are there employees. I call to cancel today and the guy on the phone could care less. fuck them :rant:
What other place can I get Internet from? I can’t get Fios yet and have been thinking about Verizon DSL for now…anyone help me out?? I have to steal wireless just to get online now muhahahahhahahaha :sario:

i have Verizon DSL, its not too bad, its a bit slower then cable but its still good.
At first i hated DSL. It sucked, i could never keep a connection. Called and complained, they check everything and even redid the line on the pole. Well apparently they got somthing right cuz i havent lost connection in weeks.
But who knows how long thats gonna last so im not gonna advertize DSL
As much as everyone cant wait for FiOS, my only FYI. You are still not guaranteed speeds, service can go down just as easy, and with that you are tied to a contract.
Needless to say I was liking the idea of it until we launched the 10/1 and 15/2 speeds, now TW for me kicks ass.

I never have any problems with DSL. I too was one of the many that was at the verge of throwing my TW (well, Adelphia at that time) modem in the trash and telling them to stick their service where the sun don’t shine.
DSL has been far more reliable and while it isn’t as fast, its always there with no hiccups. I don’t do really any downloading so the speed hasn’t really bothered me.

my favorite story about them is when they billed me for a PPV fight that they said i ordered 2 weeks before i had their fucking box in my house… and even after telling them that, and them agreeing they still gave me a fucking hard time about it.

I think it was Dan or Dave…I was pissed as shit. Then I told him I’m done with TW. He was cool about everything and apologetic till I got ahold of Sales to cancel the service the dude didn’t even bother to offer me anything at all…just said “ok your billing stops as of today.” :bloated:
