first let me start off by saying… i don’t know SHIT about setting up a stero system.
Sine i got the go fast shit out of the way… and dont plan on making my car any faster ( cost’s way to much) . i am now looking into putting a sytem in to my car…
DO you guys have any recommandtions on what to get??
i am not looking for crazy bass or anything like… something light and clean… but has power and kick. not lookinf for 12" subs here or anything like that… just a clean system. i would really like to use my stock cd player becuase the fact that its clean and flush to the way my interor looks… pic here
beck your use of commas always gives me the biggest chuckle
adam, whatever you decide, have someone else do the work for you… and when you decide on the shop, get a heads up on WHO is doing the work as the skill level of the employees can vary like crazy
just get like a basslink or something. Toss it in zee trunk, wire it, fin. No install or anything. Doesnt sound bad, it would give your stock system a little extra thump…
front components, decent 2ch amp, decent HU if need’s be, small sub (light 10 or 12, approx 3-500W range such as a JL 12W3v4). brands like Focal, JL, Dynaudio, CDT for speakers, amps like Audison, JL, Zapco. avoid infinity, alpine, kicker, rockford and other consumer / best-buy crap
for one ur stock stuff is prolly fine for highs and mids…u just need to add a nice subwoofer for the full effect…and its prolly ur stock headunit holding everything back…so ur gonna want atleast a new headunit…and nice sub and amp
was told i can run a convertor to run the stock cd player, i want to run the stock cd plaery cuz the after market looks like crap . doesnt flow that well.
stock HU hold everything back…they are underpowered and cause distortion and clarity issues…if u want to do it right fuck the convertor and get a good Double Din Head Unit that doesnt need an install kit
