Hopefully it runs and the motor and trans aren’t shit. If you’re just going to drop in a big turbo, you’ll need all the supporting mods too. Hope you have a few grand to get it running so you can diagnose any other issues.
Edit: Did you have them compression test it and leakdown before you bought it?
Oh really? You mean i need a turbo and IC to get this running? Thanks for the help.
All kidding aside. It runs. They drove briefly to move it after plugging the lines to the turbo. It shifts fine from what iv heard.I expected putting in 2-3k into it.
Is it 100% legal, titlewise and such? If so, I officially hate you, I’d kill to have that fall into my lap. That’s so what I’d love to have as a winter DD. Nice grab man.
Way to edit your original post to try and make me like like the idiot.I guess that makes you even stupider if i catch it.
Thanks for the sites though
I wasent there for it running either. No i didnt do any tests. It will be fine.
LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! i knew both previous owners…the original owner (dude named chris) had it and it was stoopid fast before the second owner got his hands on it…the 2nd kid goes to hilbert college (complete d-bag) and bastardized the car…the original owner did some nice upgrades to the car tho…wilwoods, upgraded turbo, sound system etc…thats SUPER cheap, awesome find!!
like i said, it DEPENDS ON THE TOOLS YOU HAVE AVAILABLE at time of theft
they obviosly had a sawzall to cut the pipe, they obviously thought the sawzall needed to be used to cut the pipe
maybe they couldnt get a wrench in there to unbolt it
maybe the bolts are frozen in place
my logic isnt reversed, my logic is simple, they obviously did what they had to to get the parts out, based on the tools they had, the time they had, and the knowledge they had
Just because they had a sawzall to cut a pipe doesn’t mean they’d do it to cut a bumper, and I already made the point of the thieves not caring about noise because they obviously used a sawzall. Your original post assumed that cutting the bumper was to use the sawzall, and that noise was a factor in not getting caught.
Which is apparently not the case, because they removed the bumper (takes time and tools) and cut the downpipe (tools, noise, time). So someone doing this at night, outside, when the dealership was closed is extremely unlikely. All signs point to the employees at the dealership. Wouldn’t buy a car for $1 from a dealership like that.
omfg, its not a turbosho, so leik there isn’t much room for yore theifs to unbolt and drop a fmic with teh bumpr on??!
Do you understand that better? WRX bumpers aren’t made of Stretch Armstrong, you can’t pull it out to unbolt it from the bumper beam, cut the couplers and slide it out, then it all pops back into shape without a mark.
