im doing some sneaky stuff tomorrow and ill post how it goes.If all goes according to plan i win. This is not the tell me how much im a dumbass thread,Its the tell me how to get out of a dumbass mistake thread. Thanks
I’m a law student…
^ if what AWDdrifter says is true… then your fucked.
Your best bet would be to contact her before the court date, talk about it, and tell her that it “could” go your way also, and agree to take the car back and return her $500 to squash it. Tell her to eat her court cost, saving $35 FTW  <- you would have to pay it when “if” you lose.
edit: read the first post again…I don’t understand how a car that is NOT running is garunteed to run?..little weird…BUT In that case the word “RUN” would be interpreted as driveable on roads, and preforming enough to be road worthy. Apparently its not. Give the lady her $500 back, save yourself the court cost if you can.
He garanteed it to run. If somebody else replies to this thread stating that he was dumb to garrantee it, I’m going to loose it. WE KNOW. THANK YOU.
Now, if he garranteed it to run, but upon pick-up it didn’t, then it was her fault for accepting the car. She should have said “but it doesn’t run.” Instead, she took it anyway.
She plans on putting this engine in another RX-7 that she owns. As soon as she tampers with the engine, by transplanting it into another vehicle, isn’t it her problem now?
Just like Articzap mentioned tonight at Mighty, maybe she swapped her “blown” engine into your car, and is claiming it to be yours. She might be scamming you. Check the VIN #'s on the block, if there are any. I’m pretty sure 13B’s have em, but I’m not so sure about 12a’s.
working on getting the number all i have is an address.Would small claims court have it if i called them?
no, its alot different cause that wasn’t my fault, i never guaranteed anything lol (not that i was trying to hide anything tho, it ran fine right up to when it left my hands i still don’t understand how it blew) thanks for reminding me tho…that fucker
and to whoever made the comment about guaranteeing a rotary to run… actually N/A rotaries are VERY reliable, so i wouldn’t be so quick to say that…
WTF, its $500, you rip off fuckin cry baby. You knew the car was shit, now you are gonna pay for it. Sorry, but you get what you deserve. Eat it. You knew taht fuckin car didnt run.
Anyway, i got a nice civic for sale for $2000.
I work. When I’m not at work, I think of other ways to make money. When I act on those thoughts, I make money again.
Try it.
If the car mysteriously burned up before you go to court she wouldn’t be able to give it back to you for her $500.:snky:
That is your best hope.
id she admits in court that it ran but didnt perform then its really up to the judge
Im asking for advice. And actually the car wasent shit because i have done brake torques and burn outs in it in my driveway.
i dont want to read this whole thread, so just based on your first post i’ll put in my .02
you said it would run, and it does…
she neglected to have it checked, or even to ask for you to have it checked, her neglegence (sp?) is her fault, and now it’s her problem… (kinda like in the movie crash…when the arab dude neglected to have his door changed when the locksmith guy told him the lock wasn’t going to do the trick…and the insurance company didnt cover any of the damage done do his store when it got broken into)
i dont know a lot about lemon laws…but this doesn’t sound like a case she can win, just wouldn’t make sense for her to come out ahead…it was a $500 vehicle from the 80’s…what the hell did she expect?
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST YOU STUPID FUCKS
- IT’S SPELLED GUARANTEE
- I COULD HAVE MADE 500 DOLLARS IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME THE OP INVESTED IN THIS THREAD
- I HATE POOR PEOPLE
pretty much.
Yeah, to some people $500 is more then just pocket change like it is to some people. $500 is a big deal to me…:gotme:
You owe her a refund. You might want to consider trying to settle out of court now before she hits you up for legal fees too.
Did you ever consider that $500 is a big deal to the woman that you ripped off? :gotme:
I hope she get’s the money back, plus court fees, the towing charge, and any money that she paid for a mechanic’s time that was wasted diagnosing your “guaranteed” engine.
