Alright, against my better judgment SilverGt wanted me to make a thread about our transaction tonight.

We met at the 48a Pembroke exit at the Flying J. I was a little late so I threw him an extra 5 bucks, figured it was the least I could do.

He says it just got a new head gasket, which is why the top cover was loose. fine no big deal. I put the air compressor in the back seat, and before I could get into the car the gf says ‘it stinks’ I was like yea whatever its just the normal garage smell. Sure it smelled kinda funny but what are ya gonna do.

I brought it inside and let the snow melt off the wheels before I took it through the house onto the front porch.

at like ten or so I decided to tinker with my new purchase. I took the cover off and immediately noticed things were not good. I plugged it in and the motor turned over a 3 or 4 times then quit, its internal fuse blew.

He said it works fine and builds pressure, at 100 psi it trips his house breaker. Thats believable, right?

This air compressor has a burned motor and it was sold to me like that.

I attempted to settle this through pm but he advised me to create a thread for some reason.

I know, I know, buyer beware, but I expected this thing to last more than 3 seconds.

Again, I started this thread because SilverGT asked me to. All I want is my $85 back because clearly this was no good from the get go.

cliffs: SilverGt sold me a compressor that he said ran good. He offered to meet me half way for $80, I was late, gave him $85. I got the compressor home took the cover off and found the above. I want my money back.

What the hell did you do to that thing?

My compressor used to blow the breaker almost every time I turned it on…it happens. Nothing out of the ordinary.

i dont know about the compressor, what I do know is, travis is a good honest kid who didnt lie about anything on the car I bought from him. He even was extra cool about some radio related parts that He didnt have to inlclude.

Next SilverGt, Ive bought stuff from him more than twice, hell I bought something from him tonight.

He was always honest, it was as described and he always met up without a problem.

and yea, tripping a house breaker means nothing, this is a little different. my old 220 compressor would trip all the time because it was on the same line as the dryer, lol.

I think he should refund your money, that compressor should be at the curb.

I don’t know all of the details, but if I were the seller I would probably refund. My reputation is worth more than 80 bones.

I plugged it in with the cover off (meaning how could I melt the cover in the 5th picture), it turned over like 3 times then the internal fuse blew.

First off, a board member owned this compressor about not even a week ago, I was told it had a bad headgasket. So I ordered it, he can attest that the motor did not look like that at all. I waited about a week for the headgasket to come in, mind you that I haven’t plugged anything in yet. The only time I plugged it in was when I took the pictures of it last night when it blew my breaker twice before it hit 100psi.

But as you all can see I offered a refund, I just ask that if you can meet me closer to home. The drive sucks

I told him I don’t mind a thread about this as I don’t want nothing behind curtains, I settle all my disputes in public.

Threads like this let people express there opinion towards one another and I think we should just have a thread for every member on the board so we can post all the things that gone wrong lol.

And for jam, I did apologized to you in that thread about the error. So stop your crying. So the fact that you held a grudge for that show that your such a baby.

So all in all. Like I said in the begining, I am more then willing to refund your money, would you be able to meet me closer to my house.

He threw you $5 extra. Use that to pay for your gas to drive to Pembroke, and give him $80 back. Problem solved.

thats a Compressor? Looks like it runs on a blender motor.
Throw that pile of shit in a dumpster and buy a decent compressor.
That MIGHT be enough to fill a mattress (not so sure)
