So occupy Buffalo...

Iā€™ve been thinking in a few years of going there. My brother lives there and my Father just moved back to NY after many years there. I know the traffic too well and my brothers commute was insane for years. He recently moved about 30 minutes away but you gotta pay your dues and get the salary up before you can afford nearby living. Don/Carnut keeps telling me to talk to you about IT in DC since youā€™ve been there/done that. Hopefully if/when i get near ready youā€™ll have some tips for meā€¦or just tell me Iā€™m nuts and Iā€™ll stay in Buffalo.

I bought a valuable skillset with my student loans. I got a crappy job after school, worked hard, and got a better job. #wearethe1percent

I donā€™t have time to protest anything and everything that bothers me. Iā€™m at work. #wearethe1percent

There are so many better/smarter ways to fight your own fight for what you believe in. A protest full of dirty underachievers isnā€™t the way to get anything done.

I cannot disagree with kids decisions being moronic in general today. The problem is every kid is raised being told school is the way to go and itā€™s a must to succeed. They arenā€™t told that life is a business and not only do you need to do something you like, but you need to pay your fucking bills above all else. So they rack up massive debt in a lame, poor paying field of study and then scratch their heads when the ā€œAmerican Dreamā€ bitch slaps them in the face and procedes to sodomize them. Not all debt is bad, especially student debt. But good debt involves producing a gain that offsets the interest and provides a long standing benefit. Liberal arts isnā€™t going to cut it with all these BAā€™s we have out there willing to work for $10. The bar on competition is much higher today than in years past. The recession and the fact that EVERYONE now has a BA limits opportunities. In business we say you need a edge, a competitive advantage. Prior BA was that edge but now that itā€™s a dime a dozen itā€™s no longer setting kids apart from one another. Hell Masters degrees are the next thing to produce no real edge as I see the trends.

Apparently Iā€™m not the first one to think of the wearethe1percent hashtag, but I think it needs more traction.

I donā€™t mind helping those in need, so long as they donā€™t demand it from me. #wearethe1percent

Exactly. Most of them were laborers whoā€™s skills have faded out or people with useless degrees and found out they canā€™t get a job and have debt. They are attacking capitalism and saying they want to tax the rich and hating on CEOs who are making millions and yes, to a point there is problems with wall street and how the fed is manipulative and unfair taxing but over all, their cause just pisses me off. I love Frys quote.

I donā€™t have time to protest anything and everything that bothers me. Iā€™m at work. #wearethe1percent

Honestly itā€™s almost time to go to trade school over college if you want a bright future. Weā€™ve got plenty of unemployed hippies. Itā€™s hard as hell to find a good electrician.

We are NOT a capitalist nation. Capitalism is applying your national resources where they will produce the best and most sustainable growth. Bailing out poorly run companies on the citizens dime isnā€™t capitalismā€¦thatā€™s SOCIALISM. Itā€™s enslaving future generations to an insurmountable debt burden when you factor inflation/interest. Itā€™s actually no different than ā€œoccupyā€ folks wanting a hand out from the rich. Well the difference would be that the rich can afford to share and the status quo cannot spare a dime thanks to inflation. NOTE when I say ā€œrichā€ Iā€™m not talking the $100k a year or even the ā€œmillionairesā€. Iā€™m talking the elite wealth that got their money via ill gotten gains and bribing their way into our political system. Also I personally am not looking for any handout, I have a good job and am actually a saver that is punished by our government and citizens living beyond their means.

In 2000 we had a national debt of about $6 Trillion or $20k owed per citizen (children included). That was fundamental bankruptcy was it not? Children not even in the workforce owe a debt of $20k to the system???

That was a mere 11 years ago. We are now at just under $15 Trillion in debt or almost $48k per citizen. If you have a kid, he owes $48,000 to the nation. Is that reasonable??? If you have citizens not even eligible to work owing around the nations average annual salary what does that tell you? WE ARE A BANKRUPT NATION!!! This is what these folks should focus on, not raving about how rich owe them. I wonā€™t ask if the time comesā€¦Iā€™ll be taking. Off the record of course. LOL

Like clockwork the media continues to brilliantly make everything a left/right issue because all of the typical tards eat that shit up.

Skilled building trades cannot be off-shored. Electrical and plumbing will ALWAYS have a local need. Iā€™ve said this for years and if IT wasnā€™t lucrative I would be getting an apprenticeship in electrical. I may still because Iā€™m not totally convinced in ITā€™s sustainability. My issue with IT is itā€™s hard to account for fundamental value in many cases. The countries biggest woes come from not being reasonable on a fundamental level. We have state workers making $40k+ a year (plus benefits and pension) to hand out items to students, simply because theyā€™ve been there for 10+ years. Thatā€™s not fundamentally sound. We MUST pull our own weight if we want to achieve a balance. If a company or institution isnā€™t making more off your labor than you cost them you are a liability not an asset. Itā€™s so simple yet most fail to be willing to acknowledge these facts. #wearetheentitlednation

If you werenā€™t so far out there Iā€™d love to come work for you. Damnit.
We could solve the global issues in a jiffy. In reality we might end up wearing tinfoil hats and microwaving ramen noodles cause we are of the outcast mindset. LOL

Iā€™d stay away from the microwave while wearing your tinfoil hat. Youā€™ve seen what happens when you put metal in the microwave right?

Maybe. Do you work for my old company where I put a dish brush in their microwave? LOL.

I would think my post would do the opposite. Workers in general are getting worse. Itā€™s so hard to find good help today. 8/

This is good. I am putting it as my FB status.
