so since street racing is so hot, what about our cars ?

I’ve drove past a hand full of cops in just the last few days… Rims are on, Cage is in and the cannon is hanging out the back, I’ve had the odd one eye ball the car (or from what I think, their wondering why its caged) but I’ve yet to be pulled over…

Even had one crusing right beside me looking into the car and shit the other day on my way from work and he didnt stop me…

I’m loving it 8)

The hype is hilarious

Chilllllllllllllax guys. Don’t drive like tards, don’t do stupid shit to your cars like overkill them with stupid ass body kits, retarted looking spoilers and super loud way oversized exhaust systems and you should be fine. And if you get pulled over anyway, go with the flow, don’t give attitude and pretend your a little stupid (oh I didn’t know that, I wish someone would of told me, I would of never done something so stupid to my car, but the crook mechanic was trying to sell me parts and he told me these mods are perfectly fine, I can’t believe they took advantage of me like that, I feel so stupid now thank you for pointing that out to me!) and act poor (oh no if I get a ticket I will be forced to sell my car because I can’t afford insurance since Im currently unemployed and Im a student and I have to suport my single mother by sending her money back home).

In light of recent event, I have been strictly following the speed limit - for anyone who lives in Mississauga (other cities may apply as well) - realistically, we know most of the “other drivers” are not following the speed limit.

In the last 2 months, I have been yelled at by other drivers for driving strictly at 60km/h on Highway 10 (Hurontario St). These drivers curse me out as they drive by…this has happened about 5 times since the beginning of April.

On more than one occasion, I simply reply to these drivers “you obviously have no idea how little it takes a cop to pull me over” at the next red light. They have no response but I think I gave them something to think about.

I drive a 97 Kouki, rims, exhaust + other little bolt ons. My car is no way as heavily modded as some of the other people here.

The cops here in london arnt as bad at the toronto cops i dont think, my car isnt noticable anyways, i got white riken meshie rims and a magnaflow muffler it makes more noise than stock but its nothing for cops to get pissed about i dont think.

i live in Woodbridge i dont even drive my 240 that much even if i do i dont go carzy i dont want my car getting crushed

is rust a factor considered when catergorizing “ghost cars?”

i think biggest thing here is dont drive like a jackass, if you obey the laws then the cops have no reason to stop you. as for those 2 civics on the news, if there cars got publicly crushed then they obviously deserved it. just hang tight and let the cops weed out all the faggot ricers, then itll all be over

i have a stock looking s14, with mags and an exhaust,

everywhere i drive i have people stare me down like im ripping around at top speed. just because my car sounds fast doesnt mean im driving fast. ive actually had people yell at me to slow down in residential areas when im driving along going 40km/h. some people are just ignorant and think that because im in my early 20’s im a freaking maniac. stereotypes suck, just because some jackass in a honda races on your residential street doesnt mean that i do, im actually very cautious for kids and such

Well All that I have done is paint the exaust flat black as well as the intercooler .
Car looks stock at night  .

my car is totally stk…
but i donno wat other ppl might think w/ my fogs replacing the DRL and my sleepy headlights…
i still get eyes sometime for driving a 240 and sometime they think i drive like a granny(no more then 10 over…)

i try to obey the law, so i think i’ll be safe for the mean time
but theres noway i’ll yell to those jackash on wheels…

killing people is the only answer to all of lifes toughest problems

I must be a street racer, my 86 reliant has a stainless fart can on it… I await it’s execution hahahah

actually I drove down to st. cath, then niagara then back to toronto today… I had at least 5 people get in behind me and take pics of my exhaust, others burst out laughing or honked… it’s all rather amusing actually…

of course none of them think about the fact that a fart can is cheaper than an oem style, AND I designed my exhaust properly front to back, starting at 1-7/8" and ending at 2-1/4" with perfect clearances, and a very quiet idle, and it passed it’s final e-test last year

I imagine if a cop sees it he’ll start laughing too… and if he feels up to it to chase me down he’ll be confronted by a whopping 2.2L stock engine with a fat gm (park avenue? buick 88?) air box as a cold-air intake…

“watch out there are ghost cars all over these highways…hold me”

i find this all to be hysterically funny. They can look for me but wont find me. I’m a ghost car baby lol.

If your car is safe and legal, you have nothing to worry about. You don’t bitch and moan about going through a RIDE check do you?

If you are getting harassed or get pulled over and the cop isn’t treating you fairly, request that you speak to their staff sargeant… and if you are REALLY being treated poorly, just call RCMP.

If I still had my car on the road I would definately be picking up a voice recorder from futureshop, and every time I got pulled over it would go something like this:

“Evening sir, do you know why I pulled you over?”
“No sir, but could you please state your name and badge number for my personal records?”

They have to do it by law, and it’s usually enough for them to realize you know your rights. You can even go as far as telling him/her that the encounter is being recorded for your personal records. Just be honest and say you have been harassed by police and treated like a criminal even though you haven’t done anything wrong, so now you have to resort to covering your ass by recording and documenting EVERYTHING.

But still, if you drive a modified car, getting pulled over is just something you have to go through. I have no problem getting pulled over because I know my car is fully legal. It’s 10 minutes out of my day that will make that one cop realize that not ALL modified cars are dangerous and illegally customized.

Try to maintain your composure even if you know the cop is being a retard, it goes a long way in court. If you DO lose your cool, apologize immediately. Just know your rights, and if you feel they are being violated… request that a staff sargeant be present. It’s no different than going to futureshop and asking to talk to a supervisor.

Be respectful, be smart, know your rights, drive safe, and most importantly, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING… because if it comes down to the cops word versus yours, who do you think is going to win?
