Well it looks like someone keyed my car, I have a deep scratch from the front of my trunk and all along my drivers side. I took it to Carstar on niag falls blvd and the guy said it would cost my almost 2k to fix cuz theyd have to repaint the whole side of my car.

Question: I’m willing to pay the deductible on my insurance but I don’t wanna claim it if its gonna jack up my rate. I have a good driving record and the only thing I claimed before this was a chipped windshield that was less than $500 3 years ago. Does anyone know if my rate will go up? I have progressive ins.

i never had to go to my insurance in that manner, but if it does go up it shouldnt be that much. plus you should get another quote on the paint job.

First off that really sux.
Second your rate will most likely go up, not sure how much but it probably will.

shitty, someone keyed my car. I though it was just a scratch but then I walked next to my car and it’s at perfect hand level.
