Holy missing strut towers Batman! Looks pretty rad though. I can’t, however, see any rust. Looks like you got that covered. **Edit: Wait, I need to pay attention to user names, that’s not yours is it?

For those of you that cant see it…
The rust was getting the better of his car, so he cut it out, welded in a tube frame to factory specs, and is loving the added stiffness.
… and he has to clean the engine bay everytime he drives it anywhere
HOly that would get scary when it rains out. Hardcore.
Despite the fact he has a stock KA, apparently it is just a track car. He drives it on the sunny weekends. He was going to weld on some sheet medal for protection though…
:lol: Looks like you’re in the same boat as me. Got any pics of your rust? The ones of mine don’t show the rust along the entire tower.
Anyways, wouldn’t you think that cutting out our rust and re-welding metal in would be more trouble than it’s worth? Something had caused the rust to form there in the first place, even if we were to weld new metal in, wouldn’t you wonder if the rust would return as easily? :? Time to look for a new shell I guess…

Yeah I dont want to have to fight the expensive battle against the rust. Mine isnt as bad as yours but it is bad enough.
