SOHC KA-T Finally Done!

dammmnn… thatz nice  i wish i had one like that… welll how much did that all cost you?

damn no internet and phone at the new house sucks. i missed this.

bout time you got it done pete you fag. you’ll have to take me for a ride in a few when i’m at your place.

looks good, but for the amount of time you spent, it doesn’t look OEM enough, go back and fix it. :stuck_out_tongue:

see you in a couple weeks.

btw, call erica, your place is ready to move into.

looks good…only concern is the bolts holding together the turbo and manifold…i give them 1 hr of driving time before they rattle off…i would 100% look into that issue (from lots of experiance)

adam

great job pete, very clean install

Word, yeah pete you were there in the residence parking lot with me while i changed the turbo gasket … uh twice, because of that. I found the best way to stop that was to get some really high grade nuts and bolts from brafasco, and a fresh gasket. Didnt need to tighten them again.

… or go extreme like ADAM and spot weld them in place.

one reason i put tac welds on mine

I’ve put about 200km on the setup, and nothing has come loose yet. I’ll keep an eye on it though.

All the mounting hardware is grade 10.9 (bolts, studs, washers, etc.).

If you look closely, you can see the manifold to head, and turbo to downpipe is entirely studed, and double-nutted.

So far the lockwashers and double-nuts are doing their job, but thanks for the tip, I’ll try to find a better solution.

way too clean man, i like it , i guess taking your time and doing it super slow is the way to go

Me and Matty did it first!!!

Welcome to the club

Except mine was on the turbo extension nuts, those things are evil.

 I took care of those @ the same time

Nicely done. Welds are a little globby, but whatever works. Your still far ahead of me.
