solid subframe bushings

fukin just started cutting my old bushings out today out of my spare subframe

woooo

chisel and BFH… took me less than an hour… and its wicked fun…

burning stuff is fun too but its only fun for the eyes, BFH and chisel is fun for the whole body.

i had one break on my car…i sprayed it for 4 consecutive days with wd40 and it still broke! but i was also just using my own stregnth and leverage to get it off. Im sure if u have access to an impact gun it more than likely wont break as quick.

replacing it was a bitch and a half. darian cut out the entire frame section form a parts car with the stud still in. My dad used his 10tonne press at work to get it out. Now for the stud on the car, i had to cut into the floor, its markes on the floor surprisingly. It wont just come out, it uses a spline to stay in, we tried hammer it, heating it etc etc and nothing would work. eventually we just grinded the head off and drilled into it untill it was so weak it broke.

And one more thing, these things are a super dense metal and will dull any friggen drill bit tip u use on it! they are made to withstand alot force holding the subframe in and all

anyways long story short…take every precaution u can when taking them out. Oh and my car has barely any rust on it, it just so happened that the bolt itself was rusty

Fun times. I did that last week, oxy/aceteline torch for the win.

Haha, exact same way I plan on doing mine buddy

Fun times indeed… just the smoke/smell sucks.

Hydraulic press FTW, I just got my subframe back from P/C. Now the only choice is energy bishings or Nismo…
