my personal favorite is Error. The operation completed successfully.
Give it up for winblows!
Even though I’m an apple guy I still think this is funny http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant
maddox is the fucking man.
MACS suck.
I hate windows cuz if you do alot of stuff online u 80% guarenteed to either get a virus or a spyware on your computer.
I hate MAC because its very limited to what you can do, because Apple is an evil corporation that wants a lot of money. Once I read (I am not sure if MAC still does it), if you want to upgrade RAM on your MAC you just pay $49.99 and they activate RAM that is already in your computer. I am note sure if this is true but if it is MAC just sux.
That is why I stick to Linux any time I can, its reliable, free and does everything perfectly…
That was insightful, well thought out and very eloquently worded.
I don’t really give a shit if anyone else likes Apple, I spent over 10 years in windows hell, in about 19 months of apple ownership I am still amazed by what this machine can do.
Linux is great, but it cannot be used in business, so for me its no dice, unless I partition the harddrive, which is more of a PITA then its worth to me, in particular for the basic computer operations I need/use, a comador 64 would probably work!
It doesn’t need to be insightful. Compare the two companies? Who has accomplished more? Who dominates the market? Apple has been reduced to using B list stars to make lame jokes against Microsoft. Pathetic.
Using your logic we should drive GM made vehicles because they are the biggest automobile manufacturer. Dominating the market has little to do with making a good product, most consumers are freaking morons, so your suppose to use that as a basis for a decision about which operating system is better?
Compare Apples inovation for the last 5 years compared to microsofts… nuff said. Apple makes products their customers want, microsoft makes products that give them more control over their customers. Vista’s a real home run! :lol
Like I said I don’t care what people say I’ve owned both and unless there are some huge changes made I have no intention of switching. However, I don’t have blind loyalty, if by some miracle microsoft has something to offer, I would certainly consider it with an open mind. BTW one of my friends is a Sr. Manager at Microsoft(reports to Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates twice a week) and he doesn’t give a shit about me being an Apple fan.
Interesting logic to compare PCs to Automobiles. Not sure how to even touch that. My point was that if Apple truly makes better products, why is their market share much less? Surely the customer base can see the quality. Hell, MS products are ported over for Apple but I yet to see a Apple products except ITunes
MS marketing has always been release the product and then do the updates. Vista is an AMAZING product after it is fine tuned. MS .NET 3.5+ Framework with vectoring, 3D, work flow, etc… is going to reshape business from various sizes. MS is taking on Google right now and the new graphics/3Ding will compete with Apple (About the only positive they have a long with multimedia over Windows which represents like .01% of the platform)
Apple’s innovation? Do you even want me to touch upon the IPOD or the IPHONE? Apple screwed themselves in the 80s by overpricing their products. I doubt they can ever really compete given the amount of R&D spendt each year by Microsoft. They are doing much better, I will admit. But, I am still not sure why I would even buy an overpriced Apple product. I mean seriously, $200 for an NANO? C’mon. I won’t even touch some of the prices for hardware/software for Apple.
It’s nice that you don’t sell out. There’s plenty of things that MS does that I am not on board with but Apple has light years of catchup to even compete with the amount of products, software, etc…
Simply put, because being the biggest isn’t their goal. Why is it assumed that if a company isn’t the biggest and isn’t striving for it they are sub par? Apple has a clearly defined market who is willing to pay a premium for high quality products and that’s who they cater to. Anytime I’ve had this debate before, price is always brought up, the fact is that its not the issue for apple customers, if you don’t want to pay what they want for their products, don’t buy them. I certainly don’t think either Microsoft or Apple is hurting financially and will both be around for a long time to come, a little competition keeps us all honest and pushes innovation.
I’m going to end it their, this debate has been going on for about 20 years now and I certainly don’t think we are going to be able to settle it on this forum.
I am fine with your desire to pay for overpriced hardward and software. To each his own.
Democrats are the best!
I mean um…
Pc’s are the best!
MACS suck
