I have two stickers on the back of my MINI that I need gone. One is a Sterling Chevrolet dealership sticker and the other is a badge from a different dealership. I don’t have a heat gun nor have I ever used one so if anyone can do this I’d appreciate it. Name your price, I just want it gone.
I removed the one on my GTO with a hair dryer, some googone and a little patience.
also use some floss to get under the badge to start to loosen the glue
Heatgun can damage the paint. Hairdryer will not.
Yeah, basically any of the options listed, just don’t use a heat gun…
Yep, missed that he had a badge to remove too. This works great for getting the badge off, then you can go to work with the goo gone getting rid of the remaining mess.
When I bought my last car I made sure to tell the salesman “unless you’re going to be sending me an advertising check every month, I don’t want to see any dealer stickers or logos on the car when I pick it up”. I was ok with the license plate frame since that’s easy to remove and I usually end up getting a nicer looking one anyway.
I got the side moldings off my car without any heat. Go yo autozone and get some of the aerosol adhesive stuff. It will penetrate the glue and come right off.
El oh el, kay?

I know it doesn’t sound convincing but I’ve used a piece of floss for badges before. Just work it behind it obviously then use some goo gone to get all the sticky bs off. I’ve also used a heat gun before just on a low setting for stickers and very carefully and patiently with out damaging any paint.
WD40 works good on adhesives, doesn’t damage dirt bike plastic or discolor either.
Cool I’ll try the hair dryer for the sticker and floss for the badge. I’ll let you all know how it works. Thanks guys.
I’ve used this too, but goo gone > *.
