hi guys, I wanted to know what are some ways to get rid of our limiter (190km) i cant seem to get my hands on a greddy or hks umm…(computer?) i dont know what they are called. But i wanted to know if there is another way or if u guys know where i can get one. (Greddy).
I found a shop that says they can toy with 3 wires and have no side-effects $100 :?
readign a while ago on 240 forums on some other site it said iirc that auto ecu has a more sensitive lockout setting which puts your fuel map into safe mode when somethign goes wrong more easier than manual ecu, iunno i wouldnt do it that way, just do it right and buy a controller, dont swap auto stuff into a manual car thats ghetto
look into another ECU, tomei (varun has 1 now?), blitz, or just a remap that you send it out for.
Or you could search ebay etc. for the speed cut controller…
HOWEVER, on stock brakes, or even stock + X-drilled rotors, don’t bother, the stock brakes aren’t useful past 180km/h as serious fade will result around 60km/h if brakeing from somewhere near 180km/h, could prove unsafe…
my 4th and 5th sensors are unplugged and ive got a switch wired into the green wire coming off the VSS. it proves to be worthless and im still governed. Once i heard of someone usuing a relay wired to the fuel pump and some other crazyness that worked. But i seriously couldnt care less its not that funn doing 180+…In the case you screw up or some 15 year old part breaks…How many guys actually torque their wheels down in their little garages? No need to go that fast but wiring a switch to the VSS does not work in my case + unplugging 4th and 5th gear sensors.
